Lol, these use cases are absurd. I’m not arguing that bitcoin is gonna fall, but these use cases are not aligned with bitcoins value proposition, mainly a store of value. The star fund manager has a lofty price target for the world's top cryptocurrency.

Cathie Wood and her firm, ARK Invest, rose to prominence at the start of the pandemic because of the success of her innovation-focused strategies. Her flagship exchange-traded fund, ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK -3.33%), generated a total return of 157% in 2020. With a firm whose mission it is to invest in breakthrough technologies, it's no wonder that Cathie Wood also offers clients exposure to cryptocurrencies.

But what caught my attention was a research report, titled Big Ideas 2022, recently released by ARK Invest. It had an incredibly bullish price target for Bitcoin (BTC 0.26%): $1.36 million per coin by 2030. Based on the top cryptocurrency's recent price of $40,500, this implies a monster gain of roughly 32-fold! And it's more than double Wood's previous target of $500,000.

Let's take a closer look at why this famous investor is so optimistic on Bitcoin.

Potential uses:

ARK Invest's lofty price target is based on Bitcoin adoption significantly rising during the next several years. There were eight specific uses that were mentioned in the report, with detailed targets to be achieved by 2030.

Ark Invest added 162,325 Coinbase shares and 263,504 Robinhood shares to its portfolio Friday.

Ark Invest added a massive 162,325 Coinbase shares (worth $9,267,134.25) to its portfolio on Friday, alongside a substantial purchase of 263,504 Robinhood shares (worth $2,629,769.92).

News of the purchases comes by way of a trade notification email.

A well-documented buyer (and sometimes seller) of Coinbase stock, Cathie Wood-led Ark Invest has been relatively quiet in recent weeks. Still, it would seem that Friday's collapse in the crypto exchange's stock price — driven by worries that U.S. regulators will restrict crypto staking — proved too attractive to pass up.

A darling of the pandemic-era investment surge, Ark Invest has struggled in post-Covid times. Many of the stocks it owns have hit lows in recent months, as investments in both Coinbase and the embattled Grayscale Bitcoin Trust have weighed heavy on its portfolio

That is easy to answer. when a superpower nation adopts BTC as a part of national currency, you will see $BTC going to $250K+ in 10 years. John Mcafee predicted $1 million (he was crazy in personality but genius level thinking with the ability to envision future trends i.e. McAfee Anit-Virus)

Superpower adoption is just about to happen, read the first sticky. If the current march to war continues, and USA sanctions on Russia continue to escalate, BTC will be PART of Russian methods to circumvent US sanctions. They are already using BTC in some transactions to Iran and China. China is ready to go with their Crypto Petro Yuan that is backed by gold. The price will be gauged against BTC much like alt coins are now.
