Have to wonder whether Beacon/Rockland Capital worked out a deal with Beacon's Bankruptcy creditors whereby they be allowed to build the Hazel PA 20MW plant and thereby payoff their owed debt?
Anybody got comments?
I still have common shares from 3 years ago. Are they good again?
I left a message at Beacon for clarification.
Private investors are the last to know...
:(
LD
Looks like Beacon's Stephentown NY 20MW facility is running good and they are moving ahead with their Hazle Township PA 20MW facility expecting the first 4MW to be operational in Sept 2013. They are manufacturing the flywheels again in their Tyngsboro, MA facilities.
I would guess with the NG prices rising somewhat to $4 per MMBtu, the economics are more favorable.
Best to contact the company for those questions.

Does anyone have any idea where do we long term shareholders now stand in relation to the Bankruptcy? Any chance of survival of the company and our shares?
Beacon Power Poised for Growth One Year After Acquisition
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/beacon-power-poised-for-growth-one-year-after-acquisition-1774087.htm
Thanks, keep me posted. I know the technology is great. This is "green" power grid technology that would be perfect to roll out on our crumbing power grid infrastructure. The company just ran out of time/money before it became profitable.
Hey Ada no clue but I always take chances in the event that maybe it's still real, Rockland is real so I will let you know what I find out.
I added last week in the event that this can achieve past performance. It's a long shot but I always have liked the technology. Do you know anything about the company structure? I can't seem to find much information. This was supposed to have been taken private but it never stopped trading.
Just added ....why not, May add more if others jump in.
I guess thay are staying a publicly traded company. I thought Rockland Capital was taking BCON private.
Beacon Power Poised for Growth One Year After Acquisition
9:02a ET April 2, 2013 (Market Wire) Beacon Power, LLC, the new company created when Rockland Capital acquired the assets of Beacon Power Corporation one year ago, has made significant progress -- both technical and operational -- and is well-positioned for continuing growth. The company is the world's leading manufacturer of grid-scale flywheel energy storage systems and continues to strengthen its leadership position as a provider of clean, emissions-free frequency regulation services.
Stephentown flywheel plant delivering consistently high performance
Beacon's industry-first 20-megawatt (MW) frequency regulation plant in Stephentown, New York, began full commercial operations in June 2011, and its performance has been exceptional -- with no material technical issues since acquisition. Overall plant availability has been 97%, including 100% availability over the last four months.
Based on real-world data, the Stephentown plant's 200 flywheels have performed more than 4,000 full charge/discharge cycles per year -- which is a hallmark of Beacon's flywheel technology. Their fast and accurate response to regulation control signals as they continuously recycle electricity has resulted in greater than 95% accuracy. This precision and fast ramp rate far surpasses that of fossil-fuel generators -- the most common method of frequency regulation.
Barry Brits, Beacon's CEO, said, "High reliability, low operating costs, and exceptionally robust cycle life that can be sustained for 20 years without degradation -- these are defining characteristics that reinforce the value proposition of Beacon flywheels. They are the best resource available for correcting unpredictable, real-time supply and demand changes on electricity grids, and they have proven their durability and reliability with more than three million flywheel operating hours to date."
Restarting manufacturing, reinvesting in the future
Beacon restarted manufacturing operations at its Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, facility in December 2012, and flywheels are once again in commercial production. Also in December, the company began construction of its next 20 MW frequency regulation facility, in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. The initial 4 MW will be operational there in September 2013, with the plant expected to reach full commercial operation by mid-2014.
Beacon's owners, Rockland Capital, performed a rigorous investment analysis prior to moving forward with construction of the second plant. Scott Harlan, Managing Partner at Rockland Capital, said, "We are very excited to have begun work on the Hazle project, which will help improve system-wide efficiency on the PJM power grid. At 20 MW it will be one of the largest fast-response energy storage resources in that market."
Refining the economics and developing profitable markets
Following the acquisition, Beacon focused on strengthening the economic case for owning and operating flywheel plants for frequency regulation. For several years the company has been a leading advocate of pay-for-performance tariffs in deregulated electricity markets. Those efforts led to new market rules that are expected to provide Beacon fair compensation for its regulation services, while decreasing the overall cost to consumers for the regulation services required by the market. At the same time, the company implemented an aggressive internal cost reduction program and, where necessary, invested further to realize opportunities.
Beacon CEO Brits says, "Strong economic fundamentals and providing value to our customers drives our business. We have the lowest cost-per-cycle storage technology available for frequency regulation -- and cycles are important because they quantify the frequency correction provided. Grids are volatile and the goal is increased efficiency. The most useful resource is one with high cycle life that can respond continuously and repeatedly at its full output range to smooth out large amounts of variability, which is exactly what Beacon offers."

At least you made a profit. :(
Finally sold everything. Now I can go buy a coke with my "profit". ;)
Any idea why this is still being traded? Usually the shares are pulled off the exchange within a week or two of going private.
BCONQ & BCND are 2 separate companies and share nothing together. I also believe it's safe to say there is no way I'd invest in either of these things!!!!
Neither has moved from the Pink Sheets as of yet, either
BCONQ's assets were sold to Rockland Capital for guarantees of the Govt loan of $30million and shareholders lose. Most employees of Beacon would be hired by Rockland Capital
Beacon Power Assets to be Sold to Rockland Capital
Leading Energy Investment Firm to Acquire Stephentown Flywheel Plant and Other Assets; Intends to Continue Beacon Operations and Build Second 20 MW Plant
TYNGSBORO, Mass., Feb. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rockland Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on energy-related investments, will acquire Beacon Power Corporation's 20-megawatt flywheel energy storage plant in Stephentown, New York, and most of the other assets of the Company, based on its offer made February 3, 2012, in accordance with the process negotiated with the Loan Program Office of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Rockland Capital was the successful acquirer among several leading energy and technology firms that vied for the opportunity following Beacon's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on October 30, 2011.
Under terms of the agreement and subject to court approval on February 7, 2012, Rockland will purchase substantially all assets of Beacon Power and its Stephentown subsidiary, for a combination of cash and a promissory note totaling $30.5 million, along with additional guarantees and funding obligations to DOE of $6.6 million. Rockland's purchase includes all assets of the Company's 20 MW flywheel regulation plant in Stephentown; all assets in Beacon's Tyngsboro headquarters including the intellectual property, inventory, spare parts, and equipment; assumption of an amended property lease in Tyngsboro to enable continuing operations; and many of the contracts associated with operation of the business.
The acquired assets and agreements will be placed into a new private company named Beacon Power LLC, wholly owned by Rockland, which will rehire a majority of the current Beacon staff into the new company. Rockland also intends to provide the necessary equity capital to develop a second 20 MW flywheel regulation plant in Pennsylvania. In addition to approval by the bankruptcy court, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission must approve the sale of the Stephentown assets.
Scott Harlan, Managing Partner for Rockland Capital, said, "We were attracted to Beacon Power because of its effective fast-response, grid-connected energy storage technology and its successful experience applying this technology as a frequency regulation resource in Stephentown. With the implementation later this year of FERC-mandated pay-for-performance compensation for balancing services provided to the grid, both the Stephentown plant and the one we plan to build in Pennsylvania will realize much improved revenue. We're pleased to make it possible for this company and its talented team to continue to innovate and grow, and to provide a runway to facilitate a path to commercial success."
Bill Capp, Beacon President and CEO, commented, "Rockland Capital is a well-capitalized company that has an excellent track record of successfully identifying undervalued electric power generating assets and applying its knowledge of the business and the capital necessary to develop the full potential of those assets. They recognized early on that Beacon was one such opportunity and our relationship has been positive and productive throughout their evaluation process. We're grateful for their commitment to support Beacon and we look forward to working together and achieving our commercial objectives."
The sale of Beacon's Stephentown plant and other assets was organized and conducted by Beacon's financial advisors, CRG Partners, and legal counsel, Brown Rudnick LLP. For more information on the asset sale, refer to the case docket here: http://dm.epiq11.com/BPE/docket/Default.aspx?SearchCriteria=.

Yeah. $0.00000000 when they finally void the current outstanding shares.
Another new 52-week low 0.011 was created today! More new lows come?
Sure looks like it here as well.

Up 11%! 0.0233 x 0.026 now. The strong resistance $0.025 was finally broken out...
It seems BCONQ has finally bottomed out at 0.02 and ready to double!
Excellent points, buddy! Do you know how many shares shorted now?
No I don't know.
My best guess is people can't sell for enough to cover cost of commissions, and some have such huge losses, they see no reason to sell so cheap, and the shorts may still be buying to cover old shorts, thus the price never really gets sub penny. I have seen it before with high tech stocks, and bank stock bankruptcies. I think even GM failed to go sub penny even after the old shares were known to be worthless. The ethanol stocks that went belly up in 2009 did the same thing. Held at about .02 for no good reason, even after all the assets were picked over and gone.
Do you know when will the shares be canceled? Why the MV is still at
such high amounts of dollars?
The monthly report 8-K filed today:

Up another 0.49% today! It formed a higher support 0.0205 anyway...
Do you know when will the company/court cancel all the common stock?
Anyway the CH11 Q shell double bottomed out at 0.02 today and was up as many as 22.55% but closed up 0.49%...
New 52-week low 0.02 was created with this CH11 pos scam! More come!
I liquidated most but I'm going to keep a few shares. Sometimes these shells get purchased and reused by an unrelated business.
See KITD.
The court news that was posted here last week by others that bids were accepted by the court, from the high bidder, for all the companies assets, and the total bid was at least 10-15 million dollars (as I recall) less than the companies debt. It was not even enough to pay off the DOE loans. So there are no BCOND assets left, just an empty, worthless BK, shell. IIRC someone posted court details that the stock would be cancelled, making it worthless, un-tradable, but even if it is not official yet, rest assured the game is up on this one.
I have seen this too many times, since the 1980's.
There are no assets left, no working capital left, end of story now.
Ecomike, what court news are you referring to?
This one is no longer worth the risk, now worthless, going sub penny then it will cease trading at all shortly, based on the last court news.
Good point. maybe this is the end. I would still think some kind of technical bounce would be in store. Maybe this sinks into the .01's before that happens.
Yeh, but when all assets are being sold for below debt amounts I don't very well think there will be anything left.
The only positive I could see happen here is that Beacon gets a contract to finish/run their flywheel systems. Of course, how much $$$ is really in providing a labor force of how many people?
JimsZ.....Agree. Have tracked BCON since 2005. This is getting mighty cheap I must say.
Giving away $100's at .025 or .115 or 1.95 is still that, giving away money! I doubt there is anything left here once all said and done...
BCONQ..........getting El~cheapo here. 025's.......Starting to look more attractive
Based on the awards the commons will be cancelled.
Doesn't look like it was mentioned there, which seems kind of odd.
I can't find anything regarding the outstanding shares.
