Ah yes. The "Bi-Polar" basher. lol
My favorite b@sher is the one that b@shes to get cheap shares.....then once filled..... magically becomes a pumper....lol.
Exactly.
You gotta do your DD so you know what to do when the emotions run high.
I have honestly been leaning towards different theories that were not financial. Like trying to either...
1. Save us from our stock sins
2. Show off their own intelligence.
Most OTCM stocks are extremely weak. Otherwise the price would not be so low.
If you bash OTCM stocks you will be right 99.7% of the time over time.
Its like "shooting fish in a barrel". You get to feel right all the time.
Would not surprise me at all if that happens a LOT, it so easy to swing the sentiment, and momo, on a stock, positive or negative, just from message board posting.
It's actually sad people are so easily manipulated though message board posting, those types of folks rarely ever do any DD though, they just ride the coattails of others, someone says BUY, BUY, BUY...they BUY....they say SELL, SELL SELL...they SELL....lol.
That's why the ole saying "Know what you hold" is so important..!
I gotcha.
So you believe multiple people work in concert. One group might be completed dedicated to lowering stock prices. Then once the stock is front loaded enough, the "to the moon" team shows up to build it back up.
I can see where that could work. Especially if you do not live in the US and not as worried you might be arrested for stock manipulation.
Its done to create a flip... like a pump and dump... a pump is 5 or six people dont post but they buy up a stock at say 003 do it quietly and when they have what they want..buying over a few months 5 buy one bashes to keep it low...they then show up and post the hell out of how great the stock is and that they are going to be releasing big...very big news soon... thats why one must do their own DD know what they own and just watch out for them...some are obvious others are very stealth.
The thread name has been shortened to "Bashology" to keep things simple.
Plus the long name would not fit on mobile devices.
Bashology — Schadenfreude, Shorting, and Other Pet Theories.
Hi TJG,
welcome to the conversation.
I can find criminal cases on Google that prove the existence of paid promoters.
Do you recall any tickers where legal action was taken that proves groups act in concern to short stocks?
Or are you simply saying it's done to buy low and sell high—to manipulate the OTCM itself?
Most bashers are in a group of stock players... they work as a team...one guy bashes and is very good at it... drives the price down..the others in the group buy the dips he creates...the basher vanishes for a while...mostly when news is coming or due...price goes up the group sells and they all split the money..
Its not legal but its the OTC and no regulatory boday give a shit what happens down here...its also hard to prove..but its what happens.
Hi Big Brother! Very ironic alias in context with this discussion.
Believe it or not, there are actually several other threads that have "bash" in the title.
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/getboards.aspx?searchstr=bash
Hoping they will let us have the discussion here, so we don't cause trouble elsewhere (like on the stock specific threads).
I hoping the topic can be discussed in a way that does not violate any of the rules at the hub — like direct personal attacks or using vulgar language.
I do not see anywhere in the iHub rules that "bashers" or "bashing" cannot be discussed.
Nor is the word "bash" (or any of it's derivatives) considered Vulgar by PG-13 guidelines.

FAQ
The topic of this thread is the study of Bashing so I don't see why it would not be allowed to continue.
Welcome to the thread!
This board is the one place on the Hub where the word "basher" is not a personal attack..!
Let the conversation begin.
shorting {shawrt-ing}
verb: selling (stocks or other securities or commodities) in advance of acquiring them, with the aim of making a profit when the price falls.
schadenfreude {shahd-n-froi-duh}
noun: satisfaction or pleasure felt at someone else's misfortune.
