There are certain certifications needed. If Simon executes there is enough business in Florida to make BASA a billion dollar company. Last I checked rebar was 3rd in uses for steel.

Just foundations and replacing rusty balconies is a huge market. Roads, bridges, docks and seawalls are big markets. Roads especially. As you could just roll out rebar as opposed ties 20 foot pieces together

I was a home builder in Texas for over 20 years and agree, rust on re-bar is not great. You should see the way homes are sometimes constructed here in Peru. They will start off with one or two stories and leave re-bar sticking of thru the top of the last floor contructed where piers will be to construct the next floor (story) and maybe 5 or 10 years later they will add another story using the rebar that has been exposed to the weather to build the next story usually ending up over time with a 4 or 5 story building!

I have seen the machine in operation, it is far superior to the previous version. To maintain quality control the humidity and temperature are tightly controlled. The machine time stamps and labels each batch.

The machine also can also produce rebar at much faster speeds and has 2 lines of bar running, which can either be the same size bar or different size bar.

In Florida, as an example, there are millions of patio decks on high rises that are constantly being replaced due to rusty rebar. When it comes to roads, the basalt rebar can come in large rolls of 1000 feet. Simply unroll the rebar and not only will rust be eliminated but the labor of tying rebar together every 20 feet is eliminated, plus tie downs are the weakest point.

The amount of business BASA can do is mind boggling if they finally execute. Roads, prefab concrete floors, foundations, sea walls ect.

Basalt is not only superior to fiberglass it is less expensive. Basalt is also less expensive and better than stainless rebar.

It is 25 percent of the weight. After 5 long years I think they finally have a CEO that can operate at a high level

Once they determine that the rusting re-bar was a major contributing factor in the collapse of the condo building in Miami the building codes could see a change over to composite materials that won't corrode. Hope and pray they find more alive!

They have hired an IR firm that is hard at work. They are trying to raise the funds to really ramp up production. Insiders have been funding the company for over a year and i doubt they would throw good money after bad. I expect to see more flow of news in the future. Just my .02

Totally agree. They need to raise some money for plant and production. If they can do that with non toxic dilution which I think they can. We should be in a good spot. This is a 2-5 year hold for me looking for 10x.
