GL,

not sure whether we can expect news. however, there are certain known knowns...the company is in colorado and actually operational. the site below states that they do between 1 and 50 mil in sales on an annual basis selling medical equipment. also, they have at least 6 employees and 3 board members. i would expect that with only 30 mil float, the pps would be pennies at least.

i know there was speculation about 6 months or so ago about a buyout; dont know if that is still on the table or not but i sure wouldn't dismiss it.

Product Enhancements. In the almost one year since the 8-K of May 2006, BSI2000 significantly enhanced its products. E.g., the Company was notified that the high-level FIPS 140-1 crypto certifications had been formally approved by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) for the Company's Crypto2000 system. In addition, the ClearID2000 system received formal certification by the CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigation) for electronic transmission of fingerprints over the Internet. BSI2000 is now, to its knowledge, one of only two companies with products that have such certification.
BSI2000, Inc. is a value-added reseller of LaserCard's(R)optical cards and optical card readers. As a VAR,
the Company develops proprietary hardware and software adapting LaserCard's(R)optical card technology for specific applications.
The Company's products are designed as turnkey solutions for identified commercial and governmental card-based information needs.
As of April 13th, 2007, the company has ceased its operation and board of directors has been resigned.
To further the goal of preserving the products and technology,
CEO, Jack Harper has created an independent company - Digital Digitus, Inc. to serve existing customers.

US Patent: 6775774 - Optical card based system for individualized tracking and record keeping
A self contained system for identifying and storing information pertaining to an individual, the information including biometric information
about the individual, the information being stored on an optical card. The system includes a read write system adapted for digitally reading
from and writing to the digital card. A device for obtaining biometric data from an individual is also attached to the system.
A data processing and storing system provided in communication with the read write device and the device for obtaining biometric data to
compare data from the optical card and the data obtained from the device for obtaining biometric data, and then deliver data to the read write
system for writing on the optical card. Additionally, a display for displaying data from the data processing and storing system is also included,
so that the individual is identified by an image displayed on the display and by the comparison of biometric data obtained from the individual
and biometric data stored in the card, and so that information pertaining to the comparison is encoded on the card by the read write system.

Other products
Verus2000™
VERUS2000™ instantly confirms the authenticity of U.S. Green Cards.
BSI2000 has developed the device to inexpensively and reliably solve the problem of fake and counterfeit Green Cards used as primary identification.
Security sources indicate that such fraudulent Green Cards are in use across the nation and represent a significant security hole in the defenses of this country.
Stop Breeder Documents!
Fake Green Cards are widely used as so-called Breeder Documents to obtain valid IDs such as state driver's licenses, social security cards, employee IDs, etc.
Simple to Use
Simply insert the Green Card into the reader slot and the machine does the rest. If the card is genuine, the good status immediately displays on the front screen. Counterfeit or fraudulent cards are immediately flagged on the screen as well. That's all there is to it.
Developed for DHS
BSI2000, specialists in counter-terrorism and homeland security systems, developed Verus2000 under contract to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The machine works by scanning the presented card with a low-power laser beam to measure certain characteristics of the card. Fake or counterfeit cards are immediately detected.
Optional Capabilities
Verus2000 is also able to read and display the cardholder photo and authenticate the fingerprint biometrics that are stored on Green Cards (requires special license from DHS).
Crypto2000™
* Provide protection for data stored on optical cards to the globally recognized federal FIPS 140-2 (1, 2, 3, 4) level;
* Support all standard public key methodologies;
* Securely interconnect any number of BSI2000 (or other) optical card terminal devices;
* Protect off-line or on-line;
* Provide data authentication and data integrity;
* Insure non-repudiation of data;
* Enable identity based authentication;
* Minimize the feasibility of known plaintext or similar cryptoanalytical attacks;
* Require no arbitration or centralized and expensive PKI structures;
* Be Immune to man in the middle attacks;
