I bought serv when I posted this to you at 2.92. I just wished I bought more than what I did.
AGEN down 62% Shares of Agenus plummeted after the company said regulators advised it not to submit recent trial results for accelerated approval of a colon cancer treatment.
SAVA down 27% on ceo resignation. Been plummetting since June when a science advisor to Cassava was indicted and charged with falsifying data
FIVE down 15% on crappy earnings and ceo stepping down
I don't even lurk any more, just drop in from time to time. Too busy since I retired, lol!
Ah ha! lxeo Lexeo links gene therapy to improvements in rare heart disease but disappoints investors
https://www.fiercebiotech.com/biotech/lexeo-links-gene-therapy-improvements-rare-heart-disease-disappoints-investors
LXEO down 29% - news says positive results - something's not positive! lol
SISI down 53% on offering pricing of its underwritten public offering of 1,869,160 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $1.07 per share of common stock
They did a 1:10 rs on Feb. 16, 2024 and Chinese co.
Yes they are charging a fee. The stock pays a nice dividend despite the fee and foreign tax paid. My one year gain on the stock is over 25% despite it being down YTD.
And as I said my wife likes the company.
Awww, shucks. Made chicky fried steak last night, mmm mmm
A lurker, Dumbass LOL
50 50 better than a loss lol watching
I sold nke twice this week - once for a gain and once for a loss
Look at your transaction history and see if they are charging you a fee every time they give you a divvy.
BTW I been watching NIKE NKE for the last couple wks, it looks to be getting close to a reversal $72.55 ask
My wife would kill me if I ever sold VLVLY. She worked for them for over 40 years.
well I'm only in them for a 1-3$ flip hopefully
unless you still trade the otc/pinks?
VLVLY is one of those stocks that Fido charges me a commission. They are based in Sweden and moved to the pinks since they didn't want to do the double filing any more.
If they want to charge commission they should at least look at market cap and ROE first.
That is one reason I don't trade otc anymore. Not to mention most of those companies are crappy diluted pigs. There are some foreign decent companies that trade on the otc. But if they are adr's and you are in them because of a dividend you have to pay a fee each time they give you the divvy. Not worth it to me. I much rather find a company on the US exchanges.
Amongst other things an excellent cook.
Reminds me of the controversy over the Rotavirus vaccine when it came out in 1999.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotavirus_vaccine
It was approved then recalled the same year and took 8 years to come back on the market by another company.
Our son had the vaccine and when I read the recall I called his doctor and asked him about it. He said your son had no side affects and saved him from a trip to a NICU suffering from severe dehydration.
call and make a deal I did many yrs ago. they'll lower your comission fees I'm sure.
I still pay $3.45 for otc and there are alot I play that are $30.00 and above.
9.99? Even when I paid commisions I didn't pay that high. Maybe in 1996 when I first started but I was able to get them down to under 5 bucks a trade. It is a whole different ballgame now that there are no commissions. I can go into and out of a stock multiple times a day and take small gains without even a blink.
MY accounts all $9.99 LOL I do have a free commission account. when I used to trade a lot it was $20 a side and more as trade value over $2k cost more
Comissions? Who pays commisions anymore unless you still trade the otc/pinks?
well assuming it covered comissions its good . I barely trade is summer. too much golf and boating ( on others boats) as I love the ocean and boating and the lake but as I do not have my own boats anymore or see doos I have to remind others to invite me
HELE down 30% earnings miss and cut full-year outlook
I flipped it for a six cent gain.
that was obviously their main drug for a 90% tank
50 million shares so over a $500 million cap drop 650 Million to 150 million in one day so must have a bit left in the pipe
HLVX down 88% HilleVax Inc.'s stock cratered 87% on Monday, after the biotech said it would discontinue the development of a vaccine against norovirus for infants after a trial missed its main goals.
SPWR down 23% Shares of SunPower dropped after Ernst & Young resigned as its auditor over concerns about the solar-panel installer's financial statements and it said there was a U.S. probe into its accounting.
F is like a ship lost at sea. Someday they'll figure out how to get back to port. I've owned it off and on since it traded at a buck and it has paid for 2 new Fords. I now own 3 including the Fusion
My cost basis for ARM is in the $70s. They benefited when NVDA split and it looked cheaper.
We close early on July 3rd so the Wall Street crowd can make it out to the Hamptons for the 4th. Our Canada Day for you which was on the 1st.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Day
The company I worked for, AON, has a large presence in Canada and keeping track of your holidays was a pain in the ass. The Quebec employees from Aon Stenhouse never got over that we were in control. We finally got rid of all their HR directors.
I divorced F about two years ago because it can't seem to get past 15. I had it so long and in a few accounts and just gave up with it and sold it all. Not sorry at all but I am very sorry I sold all my ARM which I had cost basis in the 50's.
I admit I am in love with Ford. But it's a love / hate relationship. lol
i do this every year. July3rd trading is slow. after a few hours I figure out market closed early LOL
You should never fall in love with a stock.
I'm in love with nvda and have been since my first purchase in 2015 (which I still have some shares of). lol Until the other chip makers can catch up and nvda no longer has the AI edge I will remain married to it. ♥️
You should never fall in love with a stock. or the market for that matter. Over the years I managed to time the market for entrance and exits but that is attributable to having spent 25 years in banking. We've been lucky to have good 401K plans and my wife also had a pension plan at Volvo. All the accounts are now with Fidelity and they manage the major accounts leaving me to trade out of one JT account with my wife and the other with my son.
The only acct that I still manage is my wife's 401K since it is 100% invested in VWNAX which is a Vanguard fund that Fidelity can't buy. YTD it is yielding over 10%.
And I buy what I know.
You trade for a living you need to check here once in awhile, play a few for the extra $300. $500. every couple days

I trade and generate income this way. I got into a lot trouble years ago holding on to things. That's fine when you have another form of income and you invest long term. I do have long term plays but I know when I go into them that I will keep them for awhile. The best way to make money daily is to flip them. Every now and then you will get an anvs that takes off largely after you sell. I had AMD when it was under 3 bucks and was trading it. It's the nature of the beast. You either trade or invest.
Speaking of holding and waiting F is once again trading up. Every qtr I go through the same agony waiting for the home run that never comes. I just now trade it like a yoyo. I feel like a Cubs fan before they finally won the World Series.
Take it off your watch list. Sometimes it's better to hold than flip. AMC is moving up nicely and DespicableME 4 opens today.
Come Monday I suspect it will be trading over $7 but don't quote me.
July movie preview
From animation, to a NASA rom-com, to a Marvel anti-hero, there's something for nearly every taste coming to theaters in July. Rick Damigella reports.

I need Hello Kitty to start pumping it on Reddit.
And Happy 4th!
I actually played it well! I got on a long flight and did not look at it! Ha. That is trading strategy!!!!
the following was written by the founding moderator of this board, harbs
for me, the most profitable and consistent trades i make on a daily basis are the bounce trades...typically intra-day bounce plays..and the harder and longer they fall, the higher they bounce...
anything that is crashing down and belongs on watch belongs here...bb's, pinks, big board stocks - all of 'em...we run scans all day long - looking for those dropping at least 15-20%, or a stock that has been beaten down for days or weeks straight and finally turns up, a reversal of sorts..
ideally i'd like this to just be a thread where we can post a ticker during the day and not much more needs to be said...any bad news or anything causing the tank would be helpful, though...
this is not a long term thread, a break-out thread, an accumulation thread, a dd thread...let's nail the bottoms..
THIS IS FOR BOUNCES ONLY...(and reverse bounces - shorting)
the timid and faint of heart need not apply...
ps - i appreciate all of you that make your calls real time...as you can see, that is what i try and do ( sometimes i'll even post where my bid is, before i'm filled, or may never get filled )..bottom line is protect and build your own accounts, but if you have the time it's nice..( obviously, when you're flipping a naz 20 times in a day, it might not make a lot of sense to post all the trades )
and i appreciate the calls real-time because that helps people make money - it's not to say that anyone should buy or sell when i or you do, but heck, what good is it to tell us after the fact..how many times does a stock close up 1,000% and the supposed guru posts after hours -"oh, btw, i loaded the boat on xyz this am - made bank" hmmm, thanks..
ok, one other trade..when a stock shoots up like crazy, i like to call them "naz-crackers" lol..well we try and short those for the reverse bounce...day 1 of huge volume always scary to short into unless it's just an over done momo play...but days 2 and 3 are usually the best spot..
