You forgot to mention that every dollar of the cash is from selling shares, not selling product.
Management bonuses are based on cash, not profit. ACB management continues to dilute the shareholders to raise cash and increase their bonuses.
Lower revenue, shrinking margins, shrinking market share are all being rewarded because the company is a dilution machine,

What good things do you suppose ACB is planning to do with their $425.21M cash horde other than play to survive?
If they are waiting to make a play for some of the bigger USA MSOs after legalization, the cannabis multiple they'll have to pay is going to be insane.
Another Canadian LP is making USA acquisitions within the legal auspices that the trading exchanges will allow, positioning them to make inroads prior to legalization, in non-cannabis companies, that can easily be converted into cannabis companies after legalization. They are not waiting on Congress. They are making moves to grow those legal companies right now.
IMO ACB should be looking for strategic acquisitions at low multiples that are flying under the radar. It's being done. The example is in front of them.
It's just my opinion, but ACB continuing to do the same things they've been doing is not likely to yield different or much better results.
Your thoughts?
Aurora Cannabis has $425.21M in cash
Some good thoughts.
I got really good vibes with the last earnings, so for me, this next earnings is in the next couple weeks is going to confirm if I'm adding more or just sitting back for a while longer. That large 9M sale they did is going to be on this earnings, so I'm hopeful we have a surprise. They have Uruguay and this new relationship that we should even see how those pan out for Q2. As u might know, I put some money on Tilray as even though they don't seem to be as focused as Aurora is, I feel they are better placed for the run of the mill recreational cannabis..which is huge. Aurora seems focused on low volume high margin, which is also awesome, but I feel both are going to be in good positions over the next 12 months. Moreso when the USA opens up. Germany appears to be getting very close as well, and then France we have to wait for this trial to finish up... if I recall France we won't know about until this time next year.

I don't see any news.. why such a nice gain today?
So I'm sure they probably also get some sort of tax credit for doing things like this.

Saw it stated we are now over 20% short, which is am increase.
The authors of the portal explain that Aurora's dried fruit can be expected to return to the market the fastest. According to the information provided by the producer, due to the protracted registration procedures, the date of the first dry deliveries from Denmark has been postponed. This week, the manufacturer will answer questions from the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products regarding packaging specifications, and medical marijuana will go to pharmacies, if URPL agrees.

It's my understanding, at least Miguel's salary is 26 million less than tilray's ceo. I didn't take the time yet to look over total compensation between them.
Of course. Continue to reward performance that hurts shareholders.
Michael Detlefsen is not going up for election so they are finally dropping the directors down to 8. I onky did a 60 second scan of what we vote on... will have more time this weekend
Still wondering if some execs here will absolute idiots, or just smart at playing the game..
What do you think?
So I wanted to still be more in the rec and purchased tilray as well, listening to the live cc now, they declined on medical patients etc. If I really just heard this right! So good news for us here on the medical side.
Let's write us both in! Haha.
"Shareholders who wish to appoint someone other than the Aurora representatives named in the form of Proxy or VIF as their proxyholder to participate at the Meeting as their proxy and vote their shares MUST first submit their Proxy or VIF, as applicable, appointing that person as proxyholder AND then register that proxyholder online, as described below. The stock price is down double digit percentages over last year.
The revenue is down double digit percentages over the last year.
The market share is down over the last year.
Therefore, management awards themselves hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses.

This is what happens when management is rewarded for continuously diluting shares while losing market share. The excuses are rampant in the filing.
You can't make this stuff up.
I'll take out two parts from the larger article. Garr. That guy really did do more damage than I thought back then...
October 5th.
"Cannabis-focused firm Australis Capital Inc. (CSE: AUSA) (OTC: AUSAF) says it will help build a massive one-million square foot facility for growing fresh fruits and vegetables in the Middle East year-round.
On Tuesday, the company said its cannabis-facility designer subsidiary ALPS entered into a $1.4-million agreement with Middle East indoor cultivation leaders Pure Harvest Smart Farms to construct the facility in Kuwait. Earlier this year, Australis acquired ALPS for $12 million in shares and cash."
"Ontario-based ALPS, originally known as Aurora Larssen Projects, has been involved in over 50 projects globally building controlled-environment agriculture facilities including Aurora Cannabis Inc.‘s (TSX: ACB) highly automated, 800,000-square-foot flagship Aurora Sky facility in Edmonton."
Wow! Just happen to check in and see we broke past 7.00 today. Nice! Let's keep this type of trend going!
Yeah, I read an article..maybe the same one, where he had reservations lettings the safe act go through as it would just prolong the legislation process for real reform. One way or another its going to happen.
I believe that trial stuff with France was going to take about a 1 to 1.5yrs(I'd have to read up on their process again...4 month intervals times 4 steps?) O kinda wonder if the US is going to approve medical use even before France.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he has an “agreement” with Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) not to let a cannabis banking bill move ahead of justice-focused marijuana legalization.
But the majority leader also said on Drug Policy Alliance founder Ethan Nadelmann’s podcast that he’s willing to consider letting cannabis banking advance through the National Defense Authorization Act if justice-focused provisions like expungements for past convictions can be added.
Schumer also said he’s had "a few conversations” with the White House about marijuana and that he plans to lobby President Joe Biden “heavily” to drop his anti-legalization stance.
Well- that's the first time I ever read a new plant abstract! Had no idea there was so much detail!
Sweet! We filled a new patent today. Getting details now as I don't think I've seen the url yet anywhere
Awesome to see we are almost breaking through 7 with only having around 4m volume.
The US should just flat out legalize it for med and rec. I live in a state that does and the state budget definitely profits from it. During the lockdowns, they were able to remain open and just switched to curbside pick-up.
So it's coming to the usa... just when
"Reeves said there are still details—such as funding for a medical marijuana program—to be worked out, and indicated a session would be in coming weeks, but not this week as lawmakers had requested."
Aurora is mentioned about a what if scenario here. It would be a nice one. https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/09/29/will-amazon-invest-in-the-marijuana-industry/
We did have a couple price cuts. I do see it can move up quickly, and I feel things are getting better. My gut tells me if our next quarter shows we are still on track that more large investors will taking in a position. I obviously am no good at calling a bottom with the charts and many are posting that this isn't going anywhere just yet. With that said, if you believe in Auroras unique position they have and plan to hold over a year, some may consider its a good time to jump in. I think next year at this time we will be higher, especially if the USA has medical canabis legalized.
This is beginning to look like a potential buy again if it continues to stabilize and make progress.
Awesome video/interview.. he has been consistent with his messaging and I so see progress. This is a good video to watch if you didn't listen to the cc... well good video in either case.

Safe act revised and passed again today in the house, off to the senate. One of these days it's going to pass the senate.
That's a good thing for the current situation, as per the cc, sky is running high margin and only at 25% capacity. Like you said, build it and they will come, but why spend a billion dollars to make a billion two, when you can make that same billion two by only spending 100 million. Acb's ceo is right on tbis one and as per the cc, other producers are starting to do what acb is doing.
acb closing production in Canada while vff increasing production.......if you build it ,they will come.
if you grow it , they will buy it . QUALITY is the primary driver for tru's success in fla.
simple economics is best product @ the best price.
Here is another take on the earnings with a positive feeling things are on the right track. Not sure if I believe others are selling out of other stocks going into aurora however( implying I large belief to move out l of rec and go into medical)
https://www.fool.com/amp/investing/2021/09/28/aurora-cannabis-popped-other-weed-stocks-dropped/
So this has a more positive swing about the earnings.
https://www.marketbeat.com/originals/aurora-cannabis-is-shifting-gears/
The "transformation plan" does appear to be working as I'm looking over things. Don't get me wrong as I feel the covid excuse is bull honky, but things appear to be getting more stable and getting in tune with what the real demands for rec is. Sky is at 25% high margin production, so it makes sense to shut down edmonton. Things are getting better, not worse through my eyes. Btw, my opinion is subject to change as I read more into things and discuss...lol
$54,825,000 is the total revenue for the quarter.
It is a 20% drop from the same quarter a year earlier and a small drop from Q3.
Medical cannabis revenue in Q4 was 35M, down from 36.4M in Q3.
This management team is stockpiling cash for their bonuses and hoping for a buyout.
At least it's an upgrade. Hopefully more start rolling in... netral is better than a sell at least. https://finance.yahoo.com/m/8a984ff5-0417-306b-b513-24785d068d42/aurora-cannabis-upgraded-to.html
$54,825,000 revenue
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And not to mention, the medical cannabis revenue FELL from Q3 to Q4.
Medical was up less than 10% over 1 year ago.
Rec was down 46% from a year ago.
I don't care what the margins are. Those numbers stink and show a slow death.
