This is beginning to look like a potential buy again if it continues to stabilize and make progress.
Awesome video/interview.. he has been consistent with his messaging and I so see progress. This is a good video to watch if you didn't listen to the cc... well good video in either case.
https://cheddar.com/media/aurora-cannabis-posts-mixed-results-in-q4-but-medical-sales-grow
Safe act revised and passed again today in the house, off to the senate. One of these days it's going to pass the senate.
That's a good thing for the current situation, as per the cc, sky is running high margin and only at 25% capacity. Like you said, build it and they will come, but why spend a billion dollars to make a billion two, when you can make that same billion two by only spending 100 million. Acb's ceo is right on tbis one and as per the cc, other producers are starting to do what acb is doing.
acb closing production in Canada while vff increasing production.......if you build it ,they will come.
if you grow it , they will buy it . QUALITY is the primary driver for tru's success in fla.
simple economics is best product @ the best price.
Here is another take on the earnings with a positive feeling things are on the right track. Not sure if I believe others are selling out of other stocks going into aurora however( implying I large belief to move out l of rec and go into medical)
https://www.fool.com/amp/investing/2021/09/28/aurora-cannabis-popped-other-weed-stocks-dropped/
So this has a more positive swing about the earnings.
https://www.marketbeat.com/originals/aurora-cannabis-is-shifting-gears/
The "transformation plan" does appear to be working as I'm looking over things. Don't get me wrong as I feel the covid excuse is bull honky, but things appear to be getting more stable and getting in tune with what the real demands for rec is. Sky is at 25% high margin production, so it makes sense to shut down edmonton. Things are getting better, not worse through my eyes. Btw, my opinion is subject to change as I read more into things and discuss...lol
$54,825,000 is the total revenue for the quarter.
It is a 20% drop from the same quarter a year earlier and a small drop from Q3.
Medical cannabis revenue in Q4 was 35M, down from 36.4M in Q3.
This management team is stockpiling cash for their bonuses and hoping for a buyout.
At least it's an upgrade. Hopefully more start rolling in... netral is better than a sell at least. https://finance.yahoo.com/m/8a984ff5-0417-306b-b513-24785d068d42/aurora-cannabis-upgraded-to.html
$54,825,000 revenue
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And not to mention, the medical cannabis revenue FELL from Q3 to Q4.
Medical was up less than 10% over 1 year ago.
Rec was down 46% from a year ago.
I don't care what the margins are. Those numbers stink and show a slow death.
Listened to him on the show. He came out and said they are not chasing the rec and focusing on margins the medical has. Gave some guidance as well. I haven't had time to look over anything myself yet... Hopefully I can Listen in on the cc
Revenue down AGAIN.
Sequential revenue was down from Q3 and down from last year Q4.
Oh yeah, cash was up because they are selling shares and assets.
Guess what they get paid based on? Yup, not revenue or profit.
I just turned it on... will be listening on my drive
Ceo here is about to go on the closing bell! Wow..better be a good earnings
I would definitely love to see them cut 3 of the directors/consultants they have, being they are much smaller now than a couple years ago. I also wish the people in working positions did buy shares instead of being given shares. So I agree on those fronts. If this earnings doesn't reflect a lot of good things, I will definitely feel pretty dark as well. They already fooled me once with the old management...which some here still here
Thinking next week is going to make for a very interesting start to closing out the year on a positive note as far as Aurora is concerned!

Love it! Thanks for providing that link! Also since Aurora is highly invested in High Tide,
https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/article/aurora-cannabis-investment-high-tide/
https://investingnews.com/daily/cannabis-investing/high-tide-oversee-flagship-aurora-shop/
And yes it is open, here is their Dutch link!
https://dutchie.com/dispensary/aurora-cannabis
https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/aurora-cannabis-provides-update-on-its-strategic-investment-in-high-tide-inc--829962601.html
And High Tide just reported a 99% increase in revenue along with a positive adjusted EBITDA
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/high-tide-reports-third-quarter-2021-financial-results-featuring-a-99-increase-in-revenue-and-sixth-consecutive-quarter-of-positive-adjusted-ebitda-301376784.html
So taking this all in to consideration the question that really stands out to me is, why is everyone saying that Aurora will not report favorable earnings? Especially since this report was just released on Canadian adult retail cannabis sales in July were up almost 50% from July 2020 to an impressive C$338.9 million!

ACB management do not get compensated on how much product they sell.
They get compensated on how much they dilute shareholders.
There is no incentive to sell any product. Indeed, it is to their benefit to continuously cut production to cut expenses since they have shown they can't make a profit. That leaves them more cash to be measured and bonused on. Eventually the string will run out and they will move on and leave a shell of a company
18% short and 20% institutional ownership are low numbers and won't drive anything.
Not implying this would happen as with what we know now is that they haven't increased enough business to keep their Polaris facility open. On Twitter, a guy was getting interviewed for a position happen to say their whistler brand is pretty non existing anymore... and how he could have changed this if things moved forward. Anyway, I have a hunch we are going to see progress on the medical side, but all the excitement we are seeing on the rec side probably doesn't carry aurora. Opinions? If for some reason we do get some good news, acb is 18% short, 20% institutional owned with 9 days to cover...data from the short squeeze website...
I think they are setting up over sea's
If they're shutting down that facility but moving its functions to other Aurora facilities- that may not be a bad thing. Difficult for the employees, though.
Since they are putting out news- I still don't understand why they've delayed filing. This shut down is forward looking so would not affect current reports........
Same with me... but I did just find this whi h appears credible.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/canadas-aurora-cannabis-shut-down-215404000.html
I'm not very familiar with Benzinga. They may be totally accurate but I've not been able to verify the shut down elsewhere yet.
See this on Twitter.... not sure if it's rumor or true.

Canada's Aurora Cannabis To Shut Down Aurora Polaris Facility In Edmonton, Alberta; Says Aurora Sky Facility To Remain Open

So not saying anything other than brainstorming the what ifs..... I do see the messaging I getting pretty similar to us... relationship seems to also be growing.
https://cantek.com/en/
I don't know why either. It's just that delays in reporting have never seemed to be a good thing for stocks I've owned.
Thanks for the article- I hadn't seen that.
Trying to find anything credible to the reasons... didn't find anything. My guess is they saw something and needed time to fix it. Why 5 days raises my eyebrow.. maybe bad news because it's taking that long. It could just as well be good news too, I do know the ceo said we were going to start hearing alot more about genetics. So we did see the most recent "the secrets out". I also came across this article I don't think was posted here. http://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/cannabis-canada-weekly-genetics-key-to-aurora-s-future-b-c-study-finds-pathogens-in-illicit-canna-1.1615988
Anyway... to restate my opinion... probably nothing. If good news, something maybe about a new adventure with genetics and/or something with the USA. If bad news, maybe the rumor you posted about...but I don't know why they would close things down when they have cash on hand as well as an atm.
They had cash on hand to do aquasitions as well as paid off a loan. I don't know why they would. I felt they were getting back on track. But like you said, one never knows. It does seem strange to delay 24hrs just before reporting, but I don't see how this would correlation closing up.
This is an FYI only. I don't currently own ACB, but I do follow it.

"Cantourage is led by the same team that founded Pedanios GmbH in 2015, one of the first federally licensed companies in Germany to specialize in the importation and distribution of medical cannabis. Within less than a year, Pedanios was the dominant leader in the market for medical cannabis flower, and the company was subsequently acquired by Aurora Cannabis Inc in 2017. The team is now continuing to shape the medical cannabis market in Europe with Cantourage."

If this is true and politicians are involved I won't touch this one.
I won't and cannot debate that!
I am in Canada and know people who were involved in the project and were very surprised at how shady and seemingly fraudulent ACB management are in their project development spending shareholder money like pirates. It is incredible that Canada actually pushed through federal legalization but there have been some very questionable deals with current and past politicians involved.ACB and WEED also made a big mistake to produce massive quantities of low grade low THC cannabis that they could not sell.Estimates are as high as 80% of product being stored and or destroyed.A lot of early execs saw this as a lottery win with massive projected sales numbers but they had no idea what the market is for the products. The problem in Canada has always been business competition the big growers thought they could just buy out everyone else and become billionaires.Fraud is rampant in the industry but in Canada top level white collar crime is never prosecuted.
That whole circle, sure I'd! I'd be surprised if someone could prove key bankers backing them, and key people in medicinehat...maybe the midas letter were in on the sham...might be hard to prove. As for all the top dogs at radiant, sounds like they were in on it. I know I got caught up on what was getting put out..mislead on purpose, I don't know. Honestly all investors in this industry should consider suing Canada itself, as they did things wrong too imo.
What about the people who supported them and attacked those who saw the truth?
Not looking too good for this pot head!

When the rules governing the Canada-U.S. border changed, my reaction was immediate: I packed my bags and headed north! Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be paying visits to the incredible people and places that make our business tick.
The first leg of my journey was Aurora’s new office in Toronto ?? Aurora Ridge ?? Aurora River. I loved being able to see production and cultivation happen in real time – a testament to our excellence in science and innovation.
Next, I’m headed to see first-hand what went into last month’s milestone $8M shipment of medical cannabis to Israel. Check back for more updates.
Canada’s retail cannabis sales grow to CA$318.7M in June, another record

Small talk about the property we never needed in the first place. https://medicinehatnews.com/news/local-news/2021/08/27/city-set-to-gain-off-aurora-plant/
It could be possible if they were not expected that Israel sale when they spoke of their road map during the last er. But that's assuming they didn't send it right back out as a bonus...lol. bad joke. I do see they are hiring at least.
