ADIO and Archer held a signing ceremony today at which they, along with several other aviation industry participants from across the region, including Falcon Aviation and GAL-AMMROC, committed to support this strategic initiative. Archer is still in discussions with numerous other industry participants that it plans to announce MOUs with when the company is in the region to showcase its Midnight aircraft at the Dubai Air Show from November 13-17, as well as the? Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF) hosted by ICAO and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) the following week in Dubai?.
Archer is seeking to work with its global manufacturing partner Stellantis, as well as local partners in the UAE, to build out its aircraft manufacturing capabilities and its Center of Excellence in Abu Dhabi. Archer’s Center of Excellence will be focused on the development and implementation of next-generation aviation technologies.
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority, said: “The GCAA recently visited Archer Aviation’s global headquarters in California to inspect its Midnight aircraft and learn about their certification progress with the Federal Aviation Administration. Our goal is to approve Archer’s air taxi to fly in the UAE as soon as it is certified by the FAA, and we are very excited to collaborate with them to bring electric air taxis to the country.”
His Excellency Badr Al-Olama, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, said: “We are thrilled to work with Archer to host their first international operations in Abu Dhabi. Bringing electric aviation to the UAE will help unlock congestion with zero emissions and, in turn, bring millions in foreign direct investment and thousands of jobs to the region over the next decade.”
Archer has raised over $1.1 billion of funding to date, including investments from Mubadala Capital, United Airlines, Stellantis, and Boeing.
Archer Aviation’s Founder and CEO, Adam Goldstein, said, “We are excited to announce this joint collaboration for the United Arab Emirates to become our first international market outside of the United States. Archer plans to partner closely with ADIO and the Department of Economic Development to bring manufacturing and operations for our air taxis to the region. Together, we are positioned to be a driving force in making all-electric air taxis a reality in the skies of the UAE and beyond in the coming years.”
Meera Al Suwaidi, Head of Value Creation at Mubadala Investment Company, said: “Through our asset management subsidiary Mubadala Capital, we have been an investor in Archer for several years. We are looking forward to working alongside them for the debut of their Midnight aircraft at the Dubai Air Show later this year, and to continue discussions on further expanding our collaboration.”
Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, said, “We are excited to be working with Archer to begin establishing a high-volume manufacturing facility for the Midnight aircraft in the United States over the last couple of years. Bearish divergence but weekly oversold
This will be 11s 2024 sometime..... I'm cool with dips ....
I do have a nice core position- separate from my trading position.
Daily overbought?
My RSI shows under 50
Yup daily overbought... I'm long so I'll buy the dips..
.
Well said, I’m sure others appreciate your response as much as I do.
I feel the same long term especially with the short interest.
I also try to understand macro, fundamentals and technicals.
CPI for September at 3.7% YoY vs expected 3.6% today probably added to the volatility as we continue to fight inflation and higher for longer interest rates with risk or recession.
Maybe I’ll swing a bit here in the short term.
Well- maybe. Last week I put in a couple orders at $4.70. They did not fill- although one came close at $4.71. I think if I moved them to $4.85- they would fill on an off market day. There is still a very large short position which has to cover at some point. I know most of the other players on this board don't pay much attention to the world news, but it can and does have an affect on stocks. So- just my feeling- is yes- short term we could go under $5- long term- absent bad news like one of their planes falling out of the sky- I think we may be about done with the $4s. I can read charts, but I rely on them less than 50%. Makes me an outsider here, but I do make good money swing trading the stock so I'm ok with that.
I thought we were at least going to make a push to fill the gap but couldn’t get past 5.60
Now it almost looks like a head and shoulders pattern taking us down to the 200sma
I’m curious about what your thoughts are here. Back below 5 or no?
You have no clue how to read charts
What does the chart say now?
Archer Closes Previously-Announced Financing and Development Agreements to Complete World’s Highest-Volume eVTOL Aircraft Manufacturing Facility
9:00 AM ET, 10/11/2023 - Business Wire

Archer expects to produce the highest volume of eVTOL aircraft while bearing a dramatically lower manufacturing capital cost than projects announced by competitors in the industry. Today’s announcement secures at least $65 million in financing which represents a substantial majority of the cost of construction for the first phase of Archer’s eVTOL manufacturing facility. In conjunction with previously announced incentives from the state of Georgia and Archer’s partnership with Stellantis, today’s announcement advances the company’s strategy of creating the most capital efficient path to scaled manufacturing. This is also possible due to Archer’s business strategy of partnering with top tier aerospace suppliers, like Honeywell and Safran, for a majority of Midnight’s components, streamlining the manufacturing and assembly process dramatically while allowing for a facility that is set to achieve high volumes of output.
Phase one of Archer’s high-volume manufacturing facility is on target to be completed in 2024 ahead of Midnight’s planned entry into service in 2025. Phase two of the facility provides the capability to expand the operation to approximately 900,000 square feet to support long-term production targets of over 2,000 aircraft per year.
“The ability to manufacture eVTOL aircraft at scale is critical to building a successful business in this industry and Archer continues to maintain a significant lead on this front. Today, we’re taking another major step forward on our manufacturing buildout by securing a design-build agreement and financing agreement for the world’s first, and largest by volume, eVTOL manufacturing facility,” said Adam Goldstein, Archer’s Founder and CEO. “Consistent with our capital efficient strategy of getting to commercialization, we’ve achieved attractive terms on the project. These agreements, along with our already strong partnership with Stellantis, give us the flexibility to ramp up our capacity and become the leading scale manufacturer of eVTOL aircraft in the world.”
Archer has selected Synovus Bank and Evans General Contractors, LLC, respectively, as its financing and development partners. In selecting its partners for the Covington project, Archer considered a range of companies with expertise in high-volume manufacturing facilities in the southeast United States. Goldstein added, “We are committed long-term partners to the community in Covington, Georgia, and we are thrilled to be working with companies who share our vision of having the world’s leading, state-of-the-art eVTOL manufacturing facility right here in the United States.”
Archer’s goal is to transform urban travel, replacing 60-90 minute commutes by car, with estimated 10-20 minute electric aircraft flights that are safe, sustainable, low noise and cost competitive with ground transportation. Archer’s Midnight is a piloted, four passenger aircraft designed to perform rapid back-to-back flights with minimal charge time in between flights. Archer’s Midnight aircraft will be manufactured at the company’s high-volume manufacturing facility in Covington, GA before being deployed to different customers and markets in the U.S. and abroad.

Archer Aviation Receives Nearly $1 Million in First US Air Force Payment for Contracts
9:53 AM ET, 10/04/2023 - MT Newswires
09:53 AM EDT, 10/04/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Archer Aviation (ACHR) said Wednesday it has received the first installment of nearly $1 million from the US Air Force as part of contracts worth up to $142 million.
The initial payment is related to a contracted deliverable for a mobile flight simulator to be used to train pilots and assess flight controls, the company said.
Several more of the company's deliverables are underway as part of the same contracts, it said.
Has anyone responded to the class action for buyers between Aug and thru Sept? There's no loss until it's sold? Is that correct?:)
Depends on the price you paid for the stock. (at least my account does)

We set ambitious goals. We make data-driven decisions, hold ourselves and each other accountable and are committed to relentless execution.
Urban mobility is about to be taken to a whole new dimension. Designed to be capable of flying distances of up to 100 miles,
but optimized to conduct back to back flights of ~ 20 miles with ~12 minutes of charge time in between, at a cost that we believe will be competitive with ground based ride share.
Midnight is aiming to redefine what air travel can be: low cost, low noise, with the safety of commercial airlines.
by six independent battery packs, each supporting a pair of electric engines
Midnight was designed from the start with safety in mind. To achieve our desired levels of safety, redundancy is key. Midnight’s avionics system includes four flight control computers,
with redundant inertial navigation, GNSS and AGL sensors to ensure robust and reliable data to the pilot.
Each pair of forward and aft electric engines are independently powered, helping to ensure the aircraft can safely complete a flight should an entire battery pack fail.
Designed to hold a 1,000+lbs of payload, the aircraft can truly handle four passengers plus a pilot.
