Parker retires, Isom takes over as CEO
Hopefully we'll get an update this week from the company regarding the final distribution
AAL on watch for an entry. New virus scare they are all pushing.
No, Sonny, just the order releasing the distribution.
Formula, etc. should show on AAL's site sometime.
Hopefully, AAL can comply with the order for 12/31,
but a delay is approved in the order if it is needed.
Hope the AAL site gets updated early in December,
the distro is only a key-stroke from AAL to brokers.
Good luck, Sonny, and all.

Awesome! Was the formula released?
Woohoo!
Finally … The End!
A Happy New Year for AAMRQ DCR recipients! An order to distribute the remaining excess common stock from the DCR to its holders by December 31, 2021"
"ORDERED that the Reorganized Debtor and the Disbursing Agent, as applicable, agree to take all actions that are necessary and commercially appropriate to
distribute the remaining excess New Common Stock and Cash from the Disputed Claims Reserve to holders of Allowed AMR Equity Interests by December 31,
2021, or as soon as commercially practicable thereafter;"
What is going on ?
I know I should have got out.
If there are still 4.8 million shares for us to receive, since there were 17.5 million the last time we received a distribution we'll be getting 27.4% as many shares as the last time.
wow, that was depressing, seeing it trading feb/mar 2020 for nearly 30 bucks plus I saw a few dividend payouts of a grand, (miss those) too. couldn't find DCR payouts, I am sure TD has some other vernacular . its all good, we will all see soon enough, happy holidays
Rocky, just check your Feb/Mar 2020 DCR receipt.
It will probably be at/below that amount, not above.
DCR dates: http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/dcr.php
Good luck and happy holidays to all!
It’s coming…sometime.
Cheers!

anyone do the math on the approx payout (best guess) per 100 shares of AMRQ owned? i know its a small amount, but nice xmas gift. and close the book. GLTA
Agreed, KenKong, on watch of another wad of $$$ from the AAMRQ DCR.

Glad the old AAMRQ BK claims court decided to disburse the DCR funds.
Happy holidays!
Timely gifts
coming!

Dunno, Sonny. Maybe? If they don’t change it
before issuing AAL shares to AAMR holders.

The last formula should be used? From April '14?
Great research, everyone. Hopefully we can put this to bed before Christmas
Yeah, even with the current stock failures(me trying to time the market) buying 14K shares most around 2.15-4.15 it was truly a life changer, still have 5K, selling all the way done from 49, to 40 to 30. grateful for whatever is sent, but most grateful to close the books on it. funny how a essential business cant turn a great profit, but crypto's can do what they have done. crazy world we live in. GLTA
Me too.
Just glad to Finally wrap up this amazing payday.
Using the share price that TKane provided based on prior disclosure about the DCR ($25.45/share), and 4.8M shares in the DCR as of 9-30-21, that's $122,160,000, minus the $8.4M for the single-dip claims, and minus the $3M (rounding up from $2.5 and $400K noted in the release), that leaves approximately $110.76M for distribution to holders of the original AAL/AAMRQ stock.
Does anyone know how many of those shares received a distribution in the past so we can narrow down the expectation for this final distribution?
While percentages appear in the details regarding the prior DCR distributions, I haven't located the number of shares that received a distribution. http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/distribution.php
Again, I'll be happy with whatever gets distributed, but it would be nice to narrow it down if we can.
Also, 2cf, here are the share conversions used in the past.
The last one should be used unless AAL updates the page.

Hoping to see something by the Dec. holidays latest. Looks
like they want to do a final distribution before the EOY 2021.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll take whatever comes our way. My 19,014 AAMRQ shares have done very well overall, and it will be nice to put closure on this DCR.
2cf, the math would be skewed since the current share price is used.
AAL declares the share price to be used, Since 2/25/20, it is $25.45.
It hasn't changed it since then. http://www.amrcaseinfo.com/dcr.php
Not sure what the final numbers will be.
Just something for the holidays.
Long time waiting for it.
Closes the chapter.

Using some rough math based on the current price of AAL stock ($20.7/share at the moment), and 4.8M shares in the DCR as of 9-30-21, that's $99,360,000, minus the $8.4M for the single-dip claims, and minus the $3M (rounding up from $2.5 and $400K noted in the release), that leaves approximately $87.96M for distribution to holders of the original AMR stock. How many of those shares have been distributed in the past so we can narrow down the expectation for this final distribution, does anyone know?
I found the DCR remaining share count in the latest financial from AMR (as noted in the "Legal Proceedings" section) . . . " As of September 30, 2021, the DCR held approximately 4.8 million shares of AAG common stock." Here's the link to the source: https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/4515/000000620121000098/aal-20210930.htm#i5183f129c22944acbfdb4b02ae581f48_94
Thanks for sharing. I see the $8.42M to be distributed from the DCR for "single-dip claims", and the $2.5M reserved for the American Labor Allocation, and the notation about the balance of DCR "New Common Stock and cash" to holders of the "allowed AMR equity interests" by December 31, 2021. I don't see--and don't recall--the latest figure for the total amount of new stock and cash remaining the in DCR. Does anyone know that current figure? Rockland, you mentioned the size of the last distribution . . . what figure are you basing that comment on? Thanks to all who may be able to narrow this down a bit.
Glad it's fini. Previous DCR distros were good.
Knew after creditors, the last would be scraps.
Congrats AAMR shareholders!
Check out AAL...or not.

Any chance we have a resolution on the 4th?
wow, after a long quiet period, the paperwork has been flying tonight. seems like it will never end, some lawyers making a career meal out of it. https://dm.epiq11.com/case/gcgaam/dockets
DCR, just never ending appeals, and then appeals on the appeals. like a divorce, the only people that really make out are the lawyers. hahah
Thanks for sharing. Looking forward. It has been a while.

From today's 10-Q filing.
As of September 30, 2021, the DCR held
approximately 4.8 million shares of AAG common stock.
We have filed a motion to close the bankruptcy case, which is set for a hearing on November 4, 2021. If granted, the order will allow us to
settle various bankruptcy-related claims from the DCR, distribute all remaining shares (and accumulated dividends) thereunder and facilitate
an end to the bankruptcy case.

What is my tax basis/cost basis/value of the stock for the shares I received from the Disputed Claims Reserve?
If you received shares of American Airlines Group Inc. Common Stock (“AAG Stock”) from the In re AMR Corporation et al. Disputed Claims Reserve (“DCR”) pursuant to the Debtors’ Fourth Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan (ECF Nos. 10361, 10367, the “Plan”), the fair market value of the AAG Stock that you received will depend on when those shares were distributed.
If you received a “Direct Registration Book-Entry Advice” (an “AST Advice”) from American Stock Transfer & Trust Company, LLC, with respect to those shares, the fair market value of the AAG Stock at the time of each respective distribution from the DCR is set forth below:
Distribution Dates | Fair Market Value (price per share) |
July 1, 2014 | $42.96 |
November 4, 2014 | $42.00 |
February 10, 2015 | $46.53 |
July 14, 2015 | $42.42 |
March 8, 2016 | $42.13 |
August 29, 2017 | $44.95 |
April 9, 2019 | $33.88 |
February 25, 2020 | $25.45 |
Payment of any applicable tax relating to the shares is your responsibility. You are encouraged to consult with a qualified tax advisor for questions regarding your specific tax treatment of shares (including but not limited to the specific computation of tax basis) received from the DCR. The foregoing information does not constitute tax, financial, or legal advice.
If you did not receive an AST Advice and you are an employee or former employee of American, please contact your union or other representative for more information. Otherwise, you may contact GCG at one of the addresses listed on the “Contact Us” Tab.
