Anyone been watching this and reading the tea leaves with the DOE awards for Perma-Fix Test Bed Initiative (TBI) at Hanford? Perma-Fix has been quiet about progress, but it sounds like things are progressing nicely.
There's a great article that came out a couple of days ago that discusses a proposed house spending bill that includes $15M for this Perma-Fix Test Bed Initiative. This would cover the 2nd phase of the demonstration project by Perma-Fix which is to grout about 2,000 gallons of waste (Phase I was 3 gallons, and obviously was met with success if DOE is proposing further phases). While the $15M would be a huge win For Perma-Fix, what they're really targeting is about 100,000 gallons of low level radioactive waste. That's HUGE if all the stars align. I imagine it's this potential that has moved PESI stock to a 2 year high at $5.10 when their earnings reports have been rather ho-hum.

ESPC projects with Ameresco honored for energy efficiency improvements and long-term infrastructure upgrades in City facilities significantly reducing utility expenses and paying for improvements through savings.
Ameresco, Inc., (NYSE:AMRC), a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company, announced today that the City of Battle Creek, MI was the recipient of the 2014 Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Energy Services Coalition (ESC) Award for its sustainability focus and leadership in efficiency initiatives. Under Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) with Ameresco, valued at more than $4.4 million, the City has untaken major upgrade projects at facilities including the Kellogg Arena Event Center and Full Blast Recreation Center resulting in more than $84,000 in annual energy and maintenance savings.
The City was recognized by the Michigan Chapter of the Energy Services Coalition during an awards luncheon today at the Michigan Municipal League office in Lansing. City Manager Rebecca Fleury accepted the award on behalf of the City.
“The City of Battle Creek is honored to be recognized by the MEDC and to receive this sustainability leadership award,” said Fleury. “Our entire community is committed to reducing our energy usage and to being more efficient, and our ongoing partnership with Ameresco has allowed us to effectively upgrade our facilities while utilizing taxpayer dollars in the most efficient and environmentally responsible way.”
Ameresco performed several projects and energy efficient upgrades under the ESPCs. Some of the energy conservation measures (ECMs) at Kellogg Arena included: replacing the roof, renovating and replacing seats (bleacher mechanism replacement), LED exterior lighting retrofit, instituting water conservation measures, enhancing building envelope and replacing windows. Some of the ECMs implemented at the Full Blast Recreation Center included: a central hot water heating plant that provides the heating capacity for improved building comfort, domestic hot water, and the indoor pool, a new open protocol controls system, and installation of renewable energy features, such as solar energy for the outdoor pool. Each of these measures at the facilities were designed to increase the efficient use of energy and to decrease the buildings’ emissions and carbon footprint, while enhancing the comfort for guests.
“These projects helped to reduce our overall operating costs and have allowed us to take a leadership role in economic and environmental stewardship in our community,” said Fleury. “It’s important for us to take a proactive role in reducing our energy consumption and it’s rewarding to have been recognized for our commitment.”
”Ameresco commends the City of Battle Creek for its leadership and we congratulate the City on the award,” said Louis P. Maltezos, Executive Vice President, Ameresco. “We value our partnership where together we have been able to realize great results utilizing a phased-approach to implementing improvements to facilities throughout the community. The energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrade projects at the Full Blast Recreation Center and the Kellogg Arena are delivering greater energy efficiency and significant financial, comfort and environmental benefits for the community.”

Today's news is exciting. I expect good things from this company in the next few years. Buy and hold.
Just bought back in w/ 1K shares.
Looks like up and up with 7 billion in army contracts possible. I would guess this stock will be mid 20s and soon.
SA: Ameresco misses by $0.06, misses on revenues
07:38 AM ET · AMRC
Ameresco (AMRC): Q3 EPS of $0.10 misses by $0.06.
Revenue of $161.6M (-1% Y/Y) misses by $23.4M. (PR)
Love the mission of this independent energy efficiency service provider. The current unusually long lag time between signing up customers and getting the project funded is a temporary problem.
Heard Amrc is a long position. Btw I don't think well ever learn the penny stock game.
