The cash is helping but I don't think he made the investment for the sake of charity. I think he is looking at opportunities to put large amounts of cash to work in plants that will pay a nice income stream for decades. I suspect he has a lot of opportunities for the technologies he has been buying into within his own set of companies. We will see. But Alter has Millhouse listed as a customer in the latest presentation, which I thought was interesting.
The share price really whooped some clams yesterday!
Abramovich is no slouch. If he is helping the company out with some cash, this should be good!
Very nice! Instant credibility with RA onboard. I sense more good news to continue to flow. Perhaps we see someone buy a big chunk of Air Products next? Makes sense to me.
I signed up for Silicon Investor but couldn't find the thread. Can you help me out?

3 ANRGF Partners
AFC energy, Air Products and Waste2tricity.
Abramovich,(Ervington Investments) just validated, financed and commmitted to the success of ANRGF in a major way. This could be the tipping point for numerous new contracts and partnerships including POSCO.
"Roman Abramovich, has a complementary investment in the waste to energy sector in a fuel cell development company (AFC ENERGY), which when combined with plasma gasification is expected to significantly improve the overall efficiency of waste to energy facilities."

I see he just invested in AFC Energy, a fuel cell company. Hopefully he also has a pipeline of opportunities that is ready to roll...
New 18% owner Roman Abramovich, the multi-billionaire Russian business tycoon and owner of London based football club, Chelsea FC. has a net worth of 19.6 billion dollars.
Fantastic news. The balance sheet suddenly looks alot better. Prospective customers should be pleased.
The world needs more waste-to-energy plants, gasification technology.
"thousands more combustion chambers should be built around the world."

I did see that TSL. The possible loss of the POSCO deal may have something to do with the current weakness in the share price as well (according to analyst Wojtek Nowak).

Hopefully the two companies can agree on a deal in the near future. The good news is that the technology is not the issue.
Well done. I did not anticipate that we would see these levels but I suspect tax loss selling may be responsible for a good part of it. Did you see the news that Air Products has officially announced the second plant for Teesside? You can't ask for better third party validation, imo.
Converting waste to energy is BIG MONEY
Starter position at this price level. Thankfully I waited to get in

I'm looking for a few things in the near to mid-term...finalized torch sales to China, one or more license deals and possibly news on the second plant in the UK with Air Products. And maybe something from Wuhan Kaidi.
50 MW Plasma Gasification Plant to be the First of Many in UK
Credit: INESO Bio
13 August 2012
Air Products' 50 MW plasma gasification facility on Teesside could be the first of many advanced waste gasification facilities to be built in the UK according to York based waste to energy and biofuel consultancy, NNFCC.
The consultancy welcomed the progress being made by Air Products at its plant near Billingham and added that it is likely to be the first of many to be built in the UK over the coming years.
According to NNFCC the facility will use AlterNRG advanced gasification technology to turn 350,000 tonnes of residual waste into enough renewable electricity to power up to 50,000 homes every year.
"Following our work gathering evidence for the Renewables Obligation banding review, we are delighted to see these ground-breaking advanced gasification projects starting to go ahead," explained Dr. Geraint Evans, head of biofuels and bioenergy at NNFCC.
The NNFCC also highlighted proposed facilities by London based gasification specialist Biossense, as well as those by INEOS Bio and British Airways.
According to the organisation it is working with INEOS Bio - part of chemical giant INEOS - to help deliver a fuel and energy project on Teesside in the UK.
The consultancy service said that it is helping facilitate INEOS Bio's funding and working to address barriers to the development of the company's gasification plant.
The NNFCC claimed subject to financing the plant will be Europe's first to make advanced road fuel and renewable energy from biomass, including household waste.
The facility is to be located at the INEOS Seal Sands site in theTees Valley, and is designed to produce 30 million litres of bioethanol each year and generate more than 3 MW of electricity for export to the grid while treating 100,000 tonnes of biodegradable household and commercial waste.
"Waste is an underutilised resource for energy generation and gasification could hold the key to unlocking its vast potential - we will now apply our engineering and policy expertise to ensure this is just the first of many advanced gasification plants built here in the UK," concluded Evans.

Air Products to Build the World's Largest Advanced Gasification Energy-from-Waste Facility
Air Products' Pioneering Clean Energy Project Will Create Hundreds of Jobs in the UK and Generate Enough Energy to Power up to 50,000 Homes
London, UK (August 7, 2012) – Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced it will build and operate the world's largest renewable energy plant in the UK using advanced gasification energy-from-waste (EfW) technology. The Tees Valley plant, located at the New Energy and Technology Business Park, near Billingham, Teesside, will be the first of its kind in the UK, and the largest of its kind anywhere in the world with an approximate capacity of 50MW.
The plant is expected to produce enough reliable, controllable, and renewable electricity to power up to 50,000 homes. Situated in a location with good access and connectivity to the local and national electrical distribution infrastructure and in close proximity to landfill disposal facilities, it will divert up to 350,000 metric tons of non-recyclable waste from landfill per year – helping to meet the UK's waste diversion targets. Air Products has longstanding expertise in building and operating large-scale industrial gas and energy-related projects on a safe, reliable and cost-effective basis. The plant is expected to create up to 700 construction jobs and over 50 permanent jobs once operational, helping to revitalize the local economy and grow a green skills base in advanced clean technology in the North East of England.
The Westinghouse advanced gasification technology provided by AlterNRG, is leading the next generation of EfW technologies. It offers a more efficient, cleaner conversion of waste-to-power than traditional EfW technologies and has the potential to generate a wider range of useful products, including heat, hydrogen, chemicals and fuels. Longer term, the potential generation of renewable hydrogen could be deployed for commercial use, such as fuelling public transport.
"Our investment in advanced gasification EfW technology is a natural extension of our onsite business model. Offering an innovative growth opportunity, it allows us to further extend our leading position in the global energy market and continue to deliver on Air Products' commitment to sustainability," said John McGlade, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Air Products.
"The UK is committed to diversifying its sources of energy, strengthening its energy security and reducing carbon emissions. This pioneering clean energy technology model is well-suited to these requirements, offering a sustainable solution to the UK's waste management strategy. The facility will also create skilled jobs in the area and we are hopeful it will provide an indirect boost to the local economy through the use of local service companies, hotels and other businesses."
Air Products has secured the necessary environmental and planning approvals and the renewable energy facility is scheduled to enter commercial operation in 2014. Work has already begun to prepare the site. Full-scale construction activities will begin ramping up in the coming weeks.
"Advanced gasification has a key role to play in delivering renewable energy and I warmly welcome the decision by Air Products to proceed with its Tees Valley Renewable Energy Facility. Air Products' announcement reflects the UK's commitment and support for clean energy, combined with our stable and transparent environment for investors," said UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
"With the world's spotlight on the UK this summer, we are working hard through the British Business Embassy program to help UK and international companies to capitalize on new trade and investment opportunities to deliver safe, secure, sustainable and smarter energy 'ecosystems', from extraction through to the end user," added Clegg.

About the Tees Valley Renewable Energy Facility and Advanced Gasification Technology
The Tees Valley Renewable Energy facility's core conversion technology, a Westinghouse gasifier supplied by AlterNRG, has been used successfully in other countries such as Japan. This is the largest energy-from-waste facility based on this technology globally and the first time that it will be used in the UK at this scale.
It provides the foundation for a renewable energy source using waste which could otherwise go to landfill.
Advanced gasification is a more efficient energy-from-waste process than incineration and has a lower environmental impact, producing 42% less CO2 emissions per MWh than incineration.
An advanced gasification-based plant can produce a number of different outputs from waste, including electricity, heat, chemicals, fuels, or renewable hydrogen that could be used to power low-carbon vehicles.
Do you have an analysis to go with the chart?
So, did JS give any hints as to why he isn't doing anything about our current situation?
Did you know Haverstock is a NIR GROUP fund? GOOD LUCK. If these guys are funding it you know the technology must SUCK!!!!

What is Plasma Gasification? Plasma, often referred to as the “fourth state of matter”, is the term given to a gas that has become ionized. An ionized gas is one where the atoms of the gas have lost one or more electrons and have become electrically charged. The sun and lightning are examples of plasma in nature. Man made Plasma is formed by passing an electrical discharge though a gas such as air or oxygen. The interaction of the electric discharge and the process gas causes the temperature of the gas to increase significantly often exceeding 5,500°C (10,000°F), nearly as hot as the sun’s surface. Gasification is a process that converts carbon-containing materials, such as coal, petroleum coke, municipal solid waste, or biomass, into a synthesis gas, (syngas), composed primarily of carbon monoxide and hydrogen. Gasification occurs when a carbon-containing feedstock is exposed to elevated temperatures and/or pressures in the presence of controlled amounts of oxygen. Syngas can be used as a fuel to generate electricity or steam or it can be used as a basic chemical building block in the production of high value energy products such as diesel or electricity |
