No, We're talking IPOs. When I asked you how an IPO figure is reached, you responded by citing crooked venture capitalists, greedy insiders, and people (sheeple) being led to slaughter, that didn't know any better.
In reality, things are much different than that for obvious reasons, at least to most reasonable people (obviously). I then drew a comparison to one of the world's best performing stocks, GOOG, and reminisced about their IPO which didn't go very well at all (I cited the flurry of class action suits), until it did.
Now you want to pretend that somehow this is a discussion about the merits of both respective companies; which it clearly isn't.
Since I don't seem able to make an obvious point here, then let me put it in terms even more obvious.
It's an IPO, an introduction of the company to the public. It's not going straight up like a pennystock, obviously.

Yeah it’s determined by VC crooks that funded the company and founders that are looking to dump their shares once the companies go IPO to retail sheeples that hold the bag to eventually get slaughtered!
However, this year most of these Ponzi IPO companies set outrageous SP based on artificial market created by none other FEDs!
You’re comparing apples to oranges - Google vs. Airbnb! Google has a solid core business with Search and diversified into many different areas via Alphabet.
Airbnb is just POS website linking hosts and guests! There’s nothing revolutionary here as they just emulated the idea from VRBO - please don’t tell me you’ve not heard of them! Any freaking college student can put a website together and compete with Airbnb! ROFLMAO
Yes, Airbnb stock is another PONZI! Dropping like a rock! LOLOL
Really? Where? When? I remember the GOOG IPO. Yep, the PPS went down post IPO and the class action lawsuits went up. Then the PPS soared (and hasn't looked back ever) and the cases went away-- amazing!
I assume you missed this post of mine, way back from Friday?

Exponentially Overpriced! House of cards keeps collapsing everyday! LOLOL
OVER PRICED ?????

Have you ever pondered how an IPO figure is determined?
TIA
It should be atleast 50 percent below its IPO price given the artificial inflated market by the great FED!
Tesla will still remain the PONZI of this century!
The IPO strike price should be where this settles in. If not, oh well, let people play Tesla-ish games with it.
Look where we are now with the .com, Amazon, FB, Google.. etc, anyone can easily be a millionaire if you picked up a few shares back then. Other than Booking and VRBO being a close competitor, Airbnb dominant the market on it’s own. How would I know? I’ve invested on multiple properties since 2009, between me and my family members we now host 50+ listings and growing, even with the current pandemic. I’ll be long with ABNB, even if it does crashes like dot com or 2007 I can wait for that light at the end of the tunnel. I’ll be in with my life savings @$25 for sure, next chance of the lifetime.
Merry Xmas to all! Have a joyful and a safe holiday weekend!
People put their life savings during dot com crash and again in 2007 and lost their a$@ big time!
LOL.. if that does ever happens I’ll put in my life savings.
$25 seems like fair value to me!
I agree. Especially in times like this. Even in the future would rather own spot than surrounded by tons of staff and people from all over. People will be caution for times to come especially populated places.
Agreed, that’s definitely what options are saying
I’m seeing ABNB still under valued, $225 is what I think the value should be. IMO of course! GLTA
It’s been a great trade these past few days, I noticed a big bet coming in the January 15 $220 calls
WHAT A POP ABNB
To each and their own. I've been many places FL, VT, CT all for fun. Many more to go. Also traveling abroad in January and bouncing around just cause. Still need to book the fight but prob booking many for years to come and 99% of the time I will not stay in hotels.
Nice to have a place in the mountains thinking of getting a many acres in VT and renting a small cabin out on AirBnB during the summer. Kind of same thoughts snowmobiling, quads and skiing during the winter and cape and lake during the summer.
One thing is why even have all those properties when can travel and see different places condos, mansions, villas w.e. your heart desires and be able to rent it at a click of a button with out any other people in your way or with covid like your staying in the mountain. This is exceptional because don't even have to check in with front desks or deal with staff. Plus I believe many people would prefer own house or villa vs a hotel in these times.. Go digital stay away from people is what your talking about anyway. Now have the ability to do it anywhere in the world.
I
Haven’t been able to travel since March to anywhere beside my mountain property.
I will not be using ABNB for any of those
As I feel like this market doesn’t make sense for ABNB right now.
Plus the damn lawsuits to the homeowners and damages done to property can be brutal. That’s not a rental company, they are a rental advertising agency
Cool. I'll be traveling and only using air bnb. Screw hotels. Plus it's your own spot and don't have to share with 100 others or staff...
Lol and that’s not going to happen anytime soon....
Not many traveling this year.
Plus they just pumped this up to create more liquidity I’ve been watching prop bids for last 5 trading days
This company has the worlds inventory of houses, condo, mansions, villas and so much more digitally at the touch of a button. Book any where any time. Many companies own a hotel with overhead...
All of it is thin air. I didn’t see it coming. Damn.
Looking forward to next week, let see if it hits $180 before Xmas

There are many companies that own assets that are rented. They are renting the world digitally mansions and all.
Agree, will try and catch some in the $90-$95 area.
Waiting patiently. GLTA here either way. No one like being bag holders
There was a recent article related to DASH and ABNB about the timing of when IPO shares go in sale to the general public - “when the amount of buyers and sellers line up for a balance of trades....”
Translation - all of the suckers like me that put in orders at 150+ got completely burned. That window of time when it shot up to 165 we shoulda sold. So, all of the lucky people who got in at 50 were selling all their shares to the retail idiots like us. They waited for all of the idiots put in enough orders for 150+ to scrape all that cash leaving us bag-holders to see red for a long time or incur loss. It’s really a sneaky game. Funny how the SEC doesn’t chase these obvious scammy moves but the fear of missing out is a powerful drug. I fell for it. It will be a long road back to 150 as I said earlier. Holding 300. FML.
ABNB is not a good IPO trade
Might be good once the dust clears from sellers
It’s air.
You’re buying thin air.
I bought $130,000 worth.
That’s not politics.

Exactly. There has been a slew of stocks given wild values during the Trump years. All of them were a way to spray money on those that knew which ones would bust out. It’s a secret money laundering machine. The entire fake market.
There is no need for the SEC at this point - it’s all fake and an epic scam. But we take what we can down here. Why in Gods name would Pfizer tank today on the biggest day in their history?
Fake. Fraud. All of it.
ABNB SP is nothing but a pump and dump at this point!
There’s absolutely nothing innovative about Zoom. Fantastic platform for Chinese to spy though!
With the current SP, my prediction is coming true as employees start to dump on retail sheeples!
This is going down further significantly. Mark my words!
