I didn't see it until it was ask $0.19. Then I looked at otcbb to see if it looked like trades happened at those levels and sure enough it showed a block at $0.03.
By the time I put a post up and went back to my streamer, the $0.19 ask hads already been taken out too. I was thinking of adding back a few but held off when it bumped back up.
Did put in a stink bid just in case it happens again
No kidding LOL! Not many shares, but still enough of a chunk to send it down with no stink bids in the way.
wow I wish that was me!
I was away or would have tried to get some at that price you can get a 6-7 bagger inter-day .
Just checked the filings didn't see anything. My guess is someone closed or was forced to close their position but did it rather quickly!
Hope all is well with you.
Whoa- did someone seriously get shares at $0.03 today??? Shoulda had a stink bid in on this.
Still down a chunk at $0.19 though, didn't see any news.
Nice find! Thanks for pointing that out. Would be nice to see a few funds buy into the company and have some 5-10% holders. Its not very liquid but with the nice dividend (which looks like it may be a regular thing) and with the company track record not a bad buy and hold for a portfolio.
About $14 million

Just thought it was interesting that a mutual fund holds some ADVC.
how big is Roge Partners?
Roge Partner's Fund holds some shares of Advant-E
http://rogepartnersfunds.com/portfolio_holdings.asp
its funny we have seen the SEC get to work shutting down 17 tickers yesterday. Hopefully it will help traders/investors see that great stocks like ADVC exist!
Still getting some nibbling. Looks like a 50K block went thru at $0.27 and total of 75K at that level today. Although the ask just dropped under there.
Guess cash cows are still 'in'.
Looking forward to the divs .

The press release last year on June 8th announced the record date of June 14th for the dividend.
http://www.advant-e.com/press/2010/060810.html
Thats what I remember them doing last year I think.
I think if it's anything like last years divis, they only will announce the record dates right before each payment date.
good question. I will need to find out.
Hey. I see the news about the 2011 divi payments. I can't find much in the latest 10Q(5/13) about "record" date, or EX divi date(s). The most I found in the 10Q was this:
Management believes that the Company will have sufficient financial resources to meet business requirements during the remainder of 2011, including payment of dividends declared on May 12, 2011 totaling $1,334,452 due in two equal installments before June 30, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
So, would you take that to mean May 12 was the record date, for both payments? Or, must you be a holder at the time of the installments?
Yeah really nice volume today. Saw the 100k ask and thought it would scare off some people but someone took out a big chunk of it quickly.
I thought the last quarter PR warning about some added expenses may have scared some people off. It drops any significant amount because of that I'm sure there will be some value guys pouncing on it .
Getting some volume ahead of earnings.
Maybe we can burn thru this $0.23 overhang now and see what happens after that.
Of course earnings will probably dictate whether we can break out here or go the other way. Should have numbers pretty soon.
Investment of the day
Someone bought 100 shares at $0.235 ($23.50 investment). It's nice to see it green, though.
Its getting dizzying (is that a word?) trying to keep up with all these microcaps changing to .PK and back to .ob. It seems every other day I have to update my yahoo watch lists .
A lot of shares sold at .223 today. Wonder if we will get some scared about what the increased upgrade costs will be bailing? Since presumably this is temporary may be an opportunistic time to add.
Good to see the yahoo board as well as this one.
Yes, that includes the Merkur Group revs in 2009. They had some strong revs grwoth in the earlier years (about 2002-2006 i think?) and it has moderated more recently but they are doing a nice job generating cash.
Sequentially revs have been a bit flattish lately but not a big surprise given the economic conditions and I htink 2010 was a record revenues year for them so they're doing well.
Seems like this is a company that would get included in the VMC index if the China micros get booted.
Thanx for the work on the board
The board is back but all the messages from when it was .ob are gone :(
2005 revenue was $4,462,702. 2010 revenue was $9,302,611. Revenue doubled in 5 years.
Sure.
I think it is highly unlikey the company is doing hanky panky or fraudy type stuff given their years of doing mostly the same thing successfully, lack of PIPEs, etc (uh some of your stuff might be a bit hanky panky so look closer).
They have nice cashflow so are a nice cash cow/cash generator.
A little growth although nothing spectacular.
If you go back to say 2004-2005 you can see their revs have grown from maybe $1.3-$1.8 mill range per Q to more like $2.3 mill range over time. They have good expense control in the SGA area.
Had the nice dividend payout last year and yet they have built their cash position right back (OK that's a bit of same as saying they're a good cash cow but they could go right back and pay another nice div).
Seems reasonable auto customers may be picking up a bit although grocery chains it is hard to gauge. My guess is grocery stores will be hit on margin side but also tend to do alright in slow growth environment like I htink we will see for some time (if lucky LOL).
Conclusion: like I said I own a little not a lot but think it is not bad on the surface and seems relatively safer than some of the microcap stuff out there.
I don't know the products or industry well enough to have a large position but the cash geenration and combination of more noncyclical customers in grocery chains and a smaller touch of cyclical auto customers seems like an alright mix given current IMO unpredicatble economic conditions.
Good luck.
Oh, almost forgot, ghmm owns it That's another reason I own a little.
I owuld like to see a Yahoo board up :)
Littlefish can you give a hint of why you even nipped?
I think I read something like that on the Yahoo PCYG msg board. I'll take ADVC's results over PCYG being on the verge of "critical mass" for how long ?
I had some shares of a company called Vialink a few years back. They were involved in scanned-based trading and always on the verge of what they referred to as "critical mass" with their network of customers. They were bought out by somebody else (the name escapes me) who was then bought out by PCYG. Now I see PCYG is launching what they call a "mega hub" which I guess would mean they're on the verge of greatness. Or is it a replay of Vialink's "critical mass" story but with a different name?
The pay cut got my attention. I'd guess he deserves a raise after this years performance but if pay is inversely related to performance I would be OK with him working at the reduced rate or even taking more of a cut . If he ever needs more cash another dividend would be nice.
The only wording in the K about the price increase was "throughout 2010". A few things like that could use a little more clarity.
Still don't see why there isn't more volume considering Wadzinski is the only major shareholder.
Welcome to the board LF .
I am wondering if the PR (and Q1 generally being a bit weaker) has some people thinking they can get in cheaper after the Q1 report. Its possible I guess but then again if the stock gets noticed it could be too late .
I asked Yahoo to put the board there back... lets see if that happens. Ooops maybe I shouldn't mention the competition here.
As you know, I have a little bit of this one
Haven't gone over the annual yet.
I am really impressed with the job Mr. Wadzinski has done! I wish it had more liquidity (volume) as I would probably add a lot more. I have not talked with him (or anyone at the company yet) but I get the impression he is extremely shareholder friendly. Among all the things the company has (and hasn't done) cut expenses, big dividend, (small) buy back, stable share count I noticed one more thing in the K. He took a 60K pay cut in 2010!
The company is growing top-line and the bottom line is growing at an even faster rate (50% Q4 '09 to Q4 '10). OK Q1 has generally been week and the PR cautioned about some added expenses as they upgrade but sometime (sooner rather then later) someone has to realize how cheap this company is. Who knows it may even been that overvalued competitor
I think your right on the $0.073 per share income for Q4. That's a whopping 46.7% increase over Q4 2009. I'd think that would attract a little attention.
Q4 2010
Looks like net income was 487k for Q4 2010. Just maintaining that level for all of 2011 would result in a net income for 2011 of 1.95 million or 2.9 cents per share. P/E 10 share price would be $0.29, Now if ADVC were valued like PCYG, then the sky is the limit. LOL.
I prefer to ask your question a bit differently, namely why don't we have a better valuation then them . We have better earnings, profitability history and our revenues aren't too far off from them.
PCYG is a real puzzle to me. Why is their share price as high as it is?
ADVC has a much better return on equity than AUTO and ADVC has no debt.
Should have done more DD on your AUTO.OB I see the stock is up nicely and they seem to have had a good quarter as well.
At first look, I thought the numbers looked great!
I will have to talk to the company sometime (probably after the K comes out and I go through it). One thing want to know is how much expenses will go up during the migration. Wonder how big it will be (in terms of getting a bigger price increase next year and attracting more customers).
Very happy with the company.
