Good one to watch - maybe finally about to get act together???
Hey DA!!!
tapster sure seems to "get it" and has the right mindset...I think you may be rubbing off on many board members buddy :)
Thanks again for all you do over here buddy :)
Hey LB!!!!
Well, you were the only one who responded, but we will do it anyway!!! I just need a bit of time to get back into the groove, and then we'll do some live option trading for folks who want to learn and give out our reasoning etc. - maybe we can convince breakout and the gang over there at "Options and ETF Trading With TA" to participate????
I am looking forward to it - haven't done those live option demos in a while so it must be time!!!
Hey buddy - I truly appreciate the reply!
Ever since you mentioned DHT I have been interested. I do need to look at the fundy side a bit more, and will so this week, as I may grab a large chunk of it if I am convinced thoroughly - I just need to get my "homework" done - could be a nice one to ride global recovery over time, possibly a VERY nice one.
I appreciate it ticket, along with all the other good things you do for the board!
YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAW!
Glad I see another person interest in this (we have several on the board)!!! Yes, I think I see patterns most anywhere I look. Nature's design is one of patterns, and ever repeating patterns. Just like stocks have patterns we can recognize, human behaviour (as individuals, small groups, large group and people in their entirety on the planet) have patterns as well. Also anything you can think of - sometimes there are hard as heck to find, and sometimes the pattern takes many, many years, but all things I can think of follows some sort of pattern even if I have not deciphered them all yet lol! Thanks for the nice post showing some examples - they are everywhere. The key is to use this knowledge to help us see the patterns in mrkts and take advantage of the opportunities that exists because of these patterns. I could give a bazillion examples but let's just take a look at these days - days when HFT are doing the vast majority of trading in equities. Since nearly all are doing approx. the same approach to trading, many patterns will show up to those who look and can find them, as they are not doing any "thinking" currently , rather just following mathematical equations.
Oh boy - I'm starting to get carried away on this post :0
Have you ever looked into fractals reaper?
I find it incredibly interesting....
Hey reaper -
I'm very familiar with this one - I had it for about for about 4 years as one of my holds, but things have changed and haven't been back in it for several years (after a four bagger in those 4 years, it just ran out of juice and some structural problems looked to be coming it's way). I took them off my hold and kept them off since they haven't been watching their financial end of the biz very well for some time - too short sighted IMO. Don't know if you were looking long term - if so, I would say not now at all. If you are just looking very short term, for a quick trade, they may have a little juice in the engine but I tend to stay away from this type of trade on them since they may have more problems ahead. If you decide to go in - get a good entry and don't stay around very long IMO.....but their time will come again I'm fairly certain....
Folks - I will be getting some work done to my weather forecasting model so I will be out of the forecasting biz 'til the geeks get me all updated sometime this coming week (hopefully!)
Until then - have to go with the weather channel like everyone else unfortunately....
I see that the email penny pick (the shell) has had a nice pop in price on small volume. That one is not the cleanest shell, but it has given some signals that it may do something - I see a couple of rumors are out there (which I do NOT believe) but even though it is not a perfectly clean shell, the SS is such that it may indeed be attractive to the right company to do a reverse merger.
Remember that we do not allow penny stocks that are not fully reporting to be talked about at the ATM, so we send out emails if we see one that has potential. So if you are interested in them, hen sign up for our email alerts and we do send them out occasional. One of ours from earlier is now fully reporting and has been a big multi-bagger for those who played along.
Shell plays always require a bunch of work and a bunch of patience, but can be some of the biggest % gainers in the penny world.
Let me know if you are interested in these and we can go over them further :)
I still have a number of pm's to get to and will get them caught up tomorrow - also, I will be here a good chunk of time tomorrow and hope you all drop by and help get AD all caught up on things :)
Hello ATM ! ! !
Back home in the states again, so expect to see me around a bunch more lol!
But between changing time zones and tonight us having the time change - my body has no idea if I should be awake or asleep... so I am kinda in between right now haha!!!
Really looking forward to getting caught up on posts and then diving into all the news I need to get caught up so I can get some confidence for the mrkt.
Good to be home at the ATM !

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/10/world/middleeast/netanyahu-says-us-and-israel-differ-on-urgency-of-iran-threat.html?src=recg
that's what's great about this board -- everyone's up to a good challenge, and we keep an open mind about how to make $$$. everyone's got their own unique approach.
take the iran situation, for example, and couple that with currency destruction, plus emerging market demand. this is one reason i'm so focused on domestic oil plays right now.
Gold closed up $12.80 to $1710.90 whereas silver rose by 45 cents to 34.18.
Early this morning we were greeted with news of a "successful" PSI of 85.5% of the Greek law bonds.
However only 69% of the British law bonds were tendered setting up the stage for lawsuits striving for accelerated payments. No doubt other PIIGS nations are watching attentively and they too will ask for considerable haircuts to their debt. Portugal is for sure next and many of their bonds are based on English law. Yesterday morning we saw the release of the NON FARM Payrolls and it "added" 229,000 jobs.
However on closer look, 1/2 of the jobs increase was of a part time nature and of lower paying jobs like flipping hamburgers and again we witnessed another 91,000 jobs added by the phony B/D plug. As soon as the jobs report was released, the bankers had their fat little fingers on the sell buttons of gold and silver. They knocked gold all the way down to $1677 with silver falling suit to $33.11. However when Greece announced that it was going to initiate the CAC clauses, then everything reversed with gold and silver rising finishing the day nicely in positive territory. All of these will be dealt with in detail but first let us travel over to the comex and see assess trading.

Thanks for the reply X,
Well, at least I know it's not just me!...
Agreed, to all that and a lot more, unfortunately.
I think the old saying "Ignorance is bliss" came from someone in the Financial sector,
too bad it can also make you broke too.
Like AD says when we know of a situation, the question is "How can we make money on this"
And Ticket saying don't fight the Fed and trade the trend.
dent, the markets have always been corrupt. nothing is better than pure $$ for attracting the greedy. so you pulled the rug back and you saw what was underneath. ugly, yes, but we've all trod over that same rug for generations.
however, the newest wrinkle -- HFTs, the black box algo traders -- this is a game changer. these machines don't trade on emotion and they have made the charts we trade emotionless. support breaks and yet stocks often don't fall. there's no "waterfall" drop anymore. since so many issues are now trading in lock step with EUR/USD we have the insanity of forex stop-ripping built into equities. how many of you have seen a breakout instantly reverse and not only take your position red, but cut it in half? this never used to happen. not when stocks were traded by actual people, instead of being infected by the tricks of central banks.
but it doesn't stop there -- these days, if the dow is sagging into the red in the final hour, no problem -- just get the "plunge protection team" on the case. they'll float it higher and make everything okay again. we've now witnessed never-ending meltups, which rip the bears to shreds again and again. while that may seem healthy to some, again we're witnessing a paradigm shift.
i'll admit it -- i feel safer trading quality microcaps (stable OS, no toxic financing, and virtually invisible on message boards) than most big board issues right now. it's one of the few areas in the market where stocks still trade like real people own the shares. i don't recommend this to anyone, i'm just being honest. to hedge my risk i buy vix funds. i own some gold, some TBT calls, and i day-trade some low priced "flavor of the day" runners for extra income.
long live the human traders. die hard holdouts in the cyborg revolution.
Good article Pro,
Sometimes I feel the need to let everyone at ATM know that even though a lot of my posts might seem the contrary,
I am NOT a gloom & doom kind of guy :) never have been! Always been a "What ever! No Worries" type!! LOL
But when I tell friends I haven't seen in a while that I've gotten into, and have been learning to trade stocks the last 2 years or so,
I always throw in that I almost wish I had not, because of the things I've read and learned about our Financial system in that time!
I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much of the "Bad Stuff"?!!
Thanks for bringing this up Pro,
6-8 mths ago I spoke to my sister about the possibility of food inflation in the future.
A short time later, she had spoken to a friend who managed a large chain grocery store
close by. He was from Germany, and told her that he couldn't believe what he was seeing
with higher food prices and manufacturers making smaller packaging with less content
in order to keep from raising the prices too much.
He also mentioned his astonishment that Americans were not screaming about it, hardly a peep,
then made a comment about being to busy watching " American Idol " ..... A grain of truth to that unfortunately.
Hey, AD. Yes I keep an eye out on some of it. A general interest, realizing it affects us more than we think. (This week has been a doozy with a full moon, most everyone has been over the edge around here.)
Fishing for a prespawn monster this month is out, unfortunately. I took on a new job in Jan. that has developed into a wonderful challenge.(projects coordinator for a "custom" residential contractor) I've been trimming their houses for a while, and they made a reasonable offer to me. I like their business concept. My wife and I thought it over and decided to take it. lol.
When I can get the projects to have a more orderly flow, that will solve his intent and hopefully free up more fishin time for me, so I could be a guide for ya if you came down this way.
Speaking of business models. I would like to get your current opinion on SHLD. Is there any logical reason the smaller Hometown store idea works? Kroger did a model restructure years ago and I know it takes years to develop.
I ask because I've noticed a trend in the discount stores like DG, FRED, FDO. DG is local to me and they are opening stores in small rural towns cornering (micro) markets which are usually traveling to county seat towns and Walmart. The buildings are new inexpensive steel structures dressed up with a brick fronts and newly paved 30 car capable lots. I don't pass by these every day, but when I do they always have cars. Higher priced commodities may lead to more of this is type of concept, IMO...just thinking outloud.
Of deep concern to all: In speaking with management of a nationwide/international pizza chain with the idea of inflated costs in mind, I asked if they are struggling to find a balance with food cost percentage. The answer was rather unexpected as to the source of trouble: CHEESE costs are out of control! The appearance of my pizza confirmed their cost cutting approach - cheese was sparingly provided across my pie and the size has been reduced yet again in a redesigned box. Yes, inflation is tearing us apart in the area we need most - FOOD!

Just my opinion, but New York should be on watch for anyone trading natural gas funds or stocks. New York could provide a turning point for certain NG stocks. Drilling approval in New York would be beneficial to stocks like XOM, D, CHK, STO and TLM.
New York City Gate usually trades at a premium to other spot prices. It could provide a little extra boost to Marcellus shale E & P companies along with transmission companies.
If the New York drilling ban continues, then the winners could be PA E&P companies like RRC, WMB, WPZ and CBT.
CBT and WMB recently announced JV for a new pipeline into New York state from Pennsylvania.
http://www.themarcellusshale.com/williams-to-build-marcellus-shale-gas-line-establish-supply-hub/
The thing that no one talks about is the transmission of Natural Gas through pipelines. It’s the difference of intrastate commerce vs. interstate commerce.
Dedicated New York energy producers have less regulations to deal with as they are not importing or exporting over state lines.
That has always been my thinking of why that TLM bought out Fortuna Energy and XOM bought out XTO at very high premiums.
In the end, if WPRT gets the break they need with NG and LNG engines, there is a good chance that all of the producers in both NY and PA Marcellus will win.
I have a NY Marcellus shale map in the NSEEY ibox. There is heavy dilution happening there, so I am not recommending it to anyone at the moment.

Nat gas is extremely cheap and they are converting the older coal burning plants into gas powered generators. There is a large short ratio on PCX, a little fuel should get a fire lit. I've been adding a little at a time and the average is well with in reach.
PCX an old daytrader favorite
Sorry you are down
I have not looked at PCX in awhile--I cant believe it is that low
Just made me look at JRCC
What is going on with coal?
If PCX can break that 930 area you might be beyond happy :)
Hi CJ, I'm not playing LIVE at the moment. LIVE's one of those low float, high risk/high reward type of plays. I try to keep those at a minimum in my account and have a few other's open. I do like the looks of the ascending triangle pattern that LIVE's in. I was fortunate enough to free up some capital today by taking profits on a few positions. LIVE is on the to-do list if the opportunity looks right.
Sorry about GNOM and PPHM and congrats on TEAR. I'm knee deep in PCX myself. I started accumulating too early. Its been mocking me. I bought some more today at 6.36 and those are green. Its been awhile since I've been able to say my PCX purchase is green.
Are you playing DA? I see a nice W forming
looking for 7
Again for all playing--This stock trades light--please stay light
Edit: we all have our losses--GNOM PPHM for me today
I think its good to show losses aside from our success
My TEAR and iBIO(Just beginning) have trated me well
TEAR is low float--look at that volume
iBIO I am looking for 2 plus
Its funny that you mention that LB. I was looking at these two charts last night and wasn't sure what to think? The AGQ chart is looking like a good head and shoulder bottom reversal pattern. The $silver chart looks more like a bearish descending wedge. That long tail at the end of September on the $silver chart is the difference.
Hello X, looks like good news, haven't gottin in yet......Looks like I'de better look for an entry

Figured I'd come home to major moves in the market and DJ up 14 points??
Thoughts always appreciated X
