I (and I venture to say, many others) grew up under the premise that it is better to ask a stupid question, than to make a stupid mistake. Money lost, most times, is not easily re-gained, and that is why I sometimes say, "a profit not gained, hurts (costs) less than losses sustained."

Hence, there are no stupid questions.
