Same here, I'm holding for at least $20+
Move has paid off but holding for $30+/SP
Rev numbers looked good, beat on earnings...
AAC, added several thousand shares in the $7 range
Stable revenue growth, books will lean out over the next couple years as legal costs diminish, properties and debts are paid off.
They are in a good position to capitalize off the drug epidemic trend of the past 20 years and more so recently.
Also, they have a stable De Novo pipeline.
First of all ceo owner got it dismissed soooim in
Still holding a lot of shares here....
Very disappointing trend over the past year. I think the street just doesn't trust management now. well, as the old saying goes, "when there is blood in the street..", time to buy! I think this will eventually recover, but it may take years... good entry point under $10 IMO
In for a bit @ 8.73
Vindicated! Hope all the FTER people still around. Jumped up almost $4 on the news!

Anyone have thoughts on the prearranged stock selling by the execs? Bad news?
Anyone know why the drop?
It perplexes me that after every subsequent earnings release with great results, the stock heads in the opposite direction.
Lots of acquisitions announced today...
...becoming an addiction recovery conglomerate. Hang on to your shares.... have the feeling this is a "tesla" type stock in the making. JMHO
Anyone ever figure out why this thing was tanking after a good earnings report? I don't see any negative news... Sold some around $27 and possibly looking for a buy opportunity.
Anyone listen to conf. call?
Why is it tanking with an incredible earnings report and raised guidance???
What's the over/under on how many negative news articles hit tomorrow? At least one from Bleecker Street...
Q3 Earnings out... and it's a doozey!
I am changing my strategy; instead of holding until $50, I'm liquidating other investments, buying below $27 as much as possible, and hanging on to all of it until $95/sh! Talk about a growth story!!
Finally a worthy PR.

Looking forward to the Q3 results
$3 bump in share price...
... not too shabby! Someone wanted in today... twice the average volume... over 1 mil shares traded today!!! Hanging on for $50
Nice bump in share price...
... in a day of a major market correction. Not bad!
apparently the conference call/news of it had good effect...
yeah, after listening to the conference call I got thinking:
2nd degree murder, really? Doesn't that mean that you intentionally killed some one, though without premeditation? I can't imagine that a single one of those employees wanted to kill a patient. That's ridiculous.
I could see manslaughter charges, maybe, but I don't see how there could be a conviction of 2nd degree murder, especially in the case of Jerrod Menz and the employee that apparently worked 60 miles away.
One thing of note however, the CEO stated that revenues from the labs would be down. So maybe there was some merit to the folks that were saying they were drug testing too much, I don't know.
Hopefully this will be offset by the increased occupancy and the 47% jump on outpatients from the same time last quarter.
I'm with you though, this is a $40 stock again very soon and higher if earnings continue to grow!
Sal... excellent post!!
Thanks! The proper response for a company that has been punished unjustly IMO.
Some new info from the company:
http://www.streetinsider.com/Corporate+News/AAC+Holdings+(AAC)+Comments+on+Legal+Case+in+California,+Previews+Q3/10833425.html
stating that their death incident rate is 10 times lower than the national average and some statistics about how they continue to grow revenue.
I agree, this son of a gun has made me a LOT of money over the last year, and is continuing to do so with it's volatility. While people can make money elsewhere, this sucker will be back in the $30s and $40s soon enough and then beyond once the charges clear. The insiders wouldn't have bought upwards of $300,000 each if this company was going down the tubes.
congrats... everyone has their strategy...
I think it goes back to mid $30's by Sept
I'm out at 25%
not being greedy here, i'll dip my toes back in on a pullback (if there's one)
good luck all!
Nope...already turned that $1000 into a lot more with AQXP and others.
Big mistake...
...remember, people coming in these facilities are not healthy; some will die. Once charges cleared/reduced, this is back to $40's or higher IMO.
My prediction...
AAC drifts higher over next few weeks to mid $30's. Business is still booming, and the legal process is slow. Investors will return IMO. When the legal process winds its way through after a year or more, I think AAC gets a fine and Menz gets community service or light prison time on reduced charges, and leaves company. Then it's back to the mid $40's and perhaps higher. JMHO
Note to self:
1. Become CEO company in the personal care segment.
2. Get accused of murder.
3. Buy Buy Buy on the dip.
4. Sell Sell Sell on the rebound.
Brilliant!!!
I like the resistance levels. Will keep adding to my position on dips.
Is Zacks.com reliable? I swear either AAC is legit and so are they or AAC is paying Zacks. Maybe Zacks.com owns some stock... lol
Insiders continue to buy...
CFO just bought last Friday... best indicator of future stock price.
Totally agree...
I think the worst of it will be a fine to the company, and a lesser charge against the defendants in this case, possibly some jail time for them. This is the time to really assess the odds... and I think the odds are in our favor here for a recovery. It may take a while, but it looks like an incredible buy op here. Perhaps even a total rotation of management and/or a buyout worst case. This company is too big and business in this sector is too much in demand for it to fail. JMHO. Buying at these levels... GLTA!
I think a few of us know it will pop nicely once the charges are cleared from the company. I already bought in for more at about $18 this morning. Appreciate the tip on ACHC as well, bought some of them as well to "diversify". Things have been mostly positive in the news over the weekend and I look forward to this thing slowing trekking back up to $50 or so.
Expect a bounce...Once these accusations are cleared up, watch for the large buys. AAC Holdings is 1 of 2 public behavioral health/drug rehab companies (ACH*). Focus more on financials rather than social media posts etc... Just my opinion.
Wednesday, yeah I was kicking myself. Sold too early. I was a shareholder for about 3 minutes but still made about $400.
Sold all mine today...out from 16. Made $1,000 so what the hell. Should have sold Wed at $25.
maybe it's too uncertain. how many of us have traded on news of a murder indictment?
Looks that way...
this cat has lost it's elasticity
Surprised we haven't seen a better bounce...
There was a AM trade for $2.6 million. Huge buying going on.
And another one for $100,000. Some serious buying going on at these levels.
Once people realize how bogus these accusations are...
It'll be back up to proper valuations. To think that only... I say only based on statistics (it is a sad, but true, reality...) 8 addicts have died when they have treated over 15,000 patients is truly an amazingly low ratio! I'm a buyer here at $22!!
Holding strong in the low 20's. Could see a pop back to the 30's again soon.
Typical bulldinky Class Action Lawsuit...
NOTHING new! Slip and fall lawyers like buzzards smell blood and pounce... DON'T FALL FOR IT. Just buy as much AAC as you can at these beaten down prices!!!
What??
Australia Acquisition Corp???
