Dr Micheal Lebby was push forward by dr Fred Leonberger. Fl is sitting at the BOD and operating comitie. ML turn down a C-Level position because of the potential of LWLG's polymers present.

Well the shorts should do very well then!

Show me someone that has accomplished much and I'll show you Someone with a failure or two.

We'll see he has most certainly did exactly what he said he told us in May.

100 Bucks on partnership be the end of the year, Side Bet?

Ignis Optics and One Chip - anyone trying to draw negative comparisons with Lightwave Logic (LWLG) as to the fate of either Ignis Optics or One Chip, both of which Dr Lebby was CEO of in the past is way off base.

To begin with neither of these companies were anything about the development of true-next generation materials and devices like Lightwave Logic (LWLG) is with the development of its Polymer Photonics P2IC platform.

To be fair, Ignis Optics was a start-up venture way back in 2001, and it had actually developed products with cutting edge technology for its time, and true next-generation technologies were far off in the future of the Industry’s needs in 2001. Ignis Optics product sales were doing quite well when, unfortunately, the Dot-Com Bubble burst, and the industry demand was almost cut off completely and immediately. You may recall that even the behemoths like Nortel Networks had its stock driven down to almost nothing at this time. So Ignis Optics as a stand-alone company did become a casualty of that bursting of the Dot-Com Bubble, but its significant product developments were sucessfully rolled into Bookham Technology and then again into Ocalaro, which today is one of the leading Photonics companies. Oh, and BTW, Dr Lebby went on to become the VP of Technology at Oclaro subsequent to the sale of Ignis Optics in 2003!

As for One Chip, the company was founded in 2005 and Dr Lebby joined their BOD in 2008. The company was focused on developing PIC’s with one of today’s legacy materials InP. Unfortunately, such legacy materials on their own have not exhibited the scalability of cost & performance that the Industry needs going forward. So in 2013 One Chip asked Dr Lebby to take the CEO role and to restructure the company and then eventually to unwind its operations and sell off its NOL’s. Again, to compare One Chip to LWLG is Apples & Oranges, as One Chip was entirely legacy based materials which to-date on their own have not proven capable of true next-generation scalability characteristics, and Lightwave Logic (LWLG) materials and devices are exactly the opposite of that, they are true next-generation, and the 100Gbs device is currently being packaged and expected for Tier 1 customer evaluations by the end of 2017! In addition LWLG is currently scaling to enable 400Gbs devices which are expected to open the flood gates of Industry interest. In fact at the ASM Dr Lebby and Z commented on how LWLG would have to "bar the door" as the interest would grow so great at this time!

Dr Lebby is world renowned in the Photonics Industry. His list of accomplishments is more than incredible! Do your own research >

well thanks for pointing out that the award Dr Lebby just received today at the Photonics Industry's most premier conference is 100% about LWLG's P2IC Platform technology because every other technology company he was ever associated with were failures as you tell everyone here, right?

Lightwave Logic CEO Dr. Michael Lebby Voted Winner of the "PIC Entrepreneur and Business Leader" Award at the PIC International Conference in Brussels, Belgium

GlobeNewswire•April 10, 2018

Englewood, Colorado, April 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. (LWLG), a technology company focused on the development of Next Generation Photonic Devices and Non-Linear Optical Polymer Materials Systems for applications in high-speed fiber-optic data communications and telecommunications, announced today that CEO, Dr. Michael Lebby has been voted winner of the PIC Entrepreneur and Business Leader Award at the PIC International Conference in Brussels, Belgium, on Tuesday April 10, 2018. The award precedes Dr. Lebby’s invited talk on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the conference.

As noted by the PIC International Conference and PIC Magazine, the PIC Industry awards have been created by the PIC International Conference to: ‘recognize and highlight key industry achievements in the advancement of photonic integration through platform development, manufacturing, design, packaging and device characterization. PIC International magazine is proud to host its 2nd PIC Awards program. With nominations and voting taking place online and presentations made at the PIC International 2018 networking dinner on the evening of April 10th in Brussels, the awards put the spotlight on innovation. The awards program is dedicated to celebrating leading-lights in the industry.’

Dr. Lebby’s award is in the PIC Entrepreneur and Business Leader category, where the individual award is voted for candidates who achieve the following criteria: “Leader for PIC-based technologies and driving new frontiers with start-up companies or internal technological programs within large corporations.”

Dr. Lebby noted: This is a proud moment for both Lightwave Logic, and the integrated photonics technology
that I have promoted, nurtured, developed, and manufactured over my career both leading programs inside large corporations as well as an entrepreneur scaling PIC technology in start-up and SME (small, and medium-sized enterprise) companies. I have technically engaged with III-V compound semiconductor technologies such as GaAs and InP and III-N technologies such as GaN/InGaN, as well as Silicon Photonics which include SiGe, and Dielectric Photonics. More recently, with Lightwave Logic’s electro-optic polymer PIC platform in the Polymer Photonics field.

I would like to thank those who voted for me, as well as those with whom I have collaborated over the years to allow me to win this prestigious award at the world’s largest and most prestigious PIC conference globally.

Dr. Lebby added, “I hope through this award that it stimulates other PIC technologists to drive new and innovative PIC programs both in large corporations, SMEs, and start-ups into successful businesses. As I will indicate in tomorrow’s invited talk, Lightwave Logic’s advancement in polymer-based PICs: PICs are Here to Stay – They are a game changer for the photonics community.”
