The company didn't promise anything. Really?

Well one thing is correct, they really didn't promise too much over the years as they never publicly communicated with shareholders via proper channels.

But they did put out a few filings over the years and in each one, they made a very specific promise and yet, they never followed through. And in the big scheme of things, this was the only promise that ever mattered which is quite evident today.

So by my book, they made multiple promises to shareholders. Yet it is now January 2014 and shareholders are left with worthless paper and broken promises.

And you really have to ask why so many bad mouth the company? They get bad mouthed for the same reason that the shareholders of BIGD had nothing good to say about the Lloyd management team when they too were left holding the bag.
