The White House has announced that President Obama has arrived in Afghanistan to meet with Hamid Karzai and sign a security agreement.

According to NBC News, steps were taken to insure that the agreement could be signed on Afghan soil.

Also, the President is reported to be addressing the nation tonight at 7:30 pm EDT.

Details are not being divulged at this point due to security concerns.

The White House schedule still notes that the President is in the Oval Office.
