Thank you for bringing this search engine up, DO NOT USE IT!!!!!! It has a very poorly kept database and many tickers are coming up as DTCC Eligible when they are not. For example take any of the last 4 Notices posted up by the DTCC and type in all of the tickers that have recently been removed from CNS and designated T4T. They all come up as DTCC eligible when they are clearly not. But I went a little further and started entering SEC suspended tickers…lol.. some of those came up DTCC eligibile.

The best advice is to use the DTCC search engine, use actual company names as filed at the OTC, CUSIPs and even tickers. To fine tune the search use the “+” between words to make it more specific. The word energy for example is a popular word used in many names, so when you type in “Energy 1 Corp” for example you will get flooded with too many hits, 470 to be exact.

http://search2.dtcc.com/?q=energy+1&sp_k=imp_notices&sp_p=all&sp_f=ISO-8859-1&x=0&y=0

But when you type in “Energy+1”, you get the exact Notices pertaining to Energy 1 Corp:

The moral of the story here is quite simple, use information from the source and when in doubt as Mikey stated, CALL YOUR BROKER BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE!
