Key Dates for the Shorts

First, to IDCC management...great quarter and great strategy for how to announce a dividend.

Now...here are some key dates for the shorts.

Oct. 28 - IDCC Conference call where management expresses extreme confidence in future licensing opportunities (enough to announce a dividend in Q4). IDCC reaches new 52 week high (a given). Questions about LG license renewal will be seen for what they are...an attempt to spread FUD. LG will re-sign before the end of the year (IMHO).

Oct. 29th - IDCC reaches new 52 week high (very likely).

Nov 1st - IDCC reaches new 3 year high (very likely).

Nov 2nd - IDCC reaches new 10 year high (very likely).

Nov 5th or Nov 12th - IDCC announces Q4 revenue guidance (of over $100M IMHO). IDCC breaks into 40's (likely).

Nov. 10th - Reg SHO Amendments on Short Sales go into effect.

Nov. 19th - Options Expiration with all current Nov options expiring in the money. If you short boys have sold any of these calls naked...I feel sorry for you. Nah...on second thought, you deserve it.

Nov 30th
- IDCC announces dividend (estimated date IMHO)

Dec 9th - CAFC Oral Arguments (unless Nokia is smart and settles)

Dec 31
- Last day for LG to sign a license without going into 2011 exposed (ie without an IDCC license should another company acquire IDCC)

Dec 31 - IDCC closes the year in the 50's (likely) (unless Nokia has settled in which case the 50's will be way in the rearview mirror).

Good luck IDCC Longs....I suggest you be considering your exit strategy. You may want to look again at dclarke's spreadsheet. I don't plan to sell any shares until at least $70.....and I will be holding most of my shares well into triple digits. FWIW, after Nokia signs, I expect our PE to normalize at least into the 20 range.
