I've decided to add some Assistant Moderators, to expand the forum.

None of them volunteered for the job. So they are free to resign if they don't want the job. But before they do I hope they will take a few moments to look "under the hood" and see what they can do behind the scenes, on this forum. Click on the Manage button on the main page to access the Forum Console.

I though it would be appropriate to give some other longs access to the forum facility. Just in case they want to help out by editing the iBox, create a survey, manage sticky posts, manage an e-mail list, etc. They can do everything the moderator can do except manage assistants. If they do stick around then I suggest that they access the User and Moderator's Handbook, for further guidance.

The reason I chose these folks is because they have been on the forum for a while, so they are already up-to-speed, they are all level-headed in the way they post, and seem to be open-minded and fairly neutral on the situation. They are neither bashers nor pumpers. It appears are all long this stock, so they "have skin in the game". That should also insure that they will be generally a positive influence for the forum.

The forum can have up to six Assistant Moderators. So I might as well "load up the canoe with more paddlers". If anyone want's to be appointed, or appoint someone else, as assistant moderator, please do let me know.
