After seeing your "factoids," I decided to do a fun investigation myself. I went to a site that ranks the states by quality of education..... <a href="http://www.statemaster.com/graph/edu_bes_edu_ind-education-best-educated-indexM" target="_blank">http://www.statemaster.com/graph/edu_bes_edu_ind-education-best-educated-indexM</a> Then I used the final results of the electoral map, including the percentage of votes that went for Obama and McCain [see screen shot below]..... <a href="http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/results/president/map.html" target="_blank">http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/results/president/map.html</a> It turns out that 9 out of the top 10 states in education voted for Obama. Seven of the bottom 10 states voted for McCain.
