What does any of that have to do with the Yankees getting him?...I agree with your case about the Marlin end of this trade but he was going somewhere and that decision had nothing to do with the Yankees..

does anybody expect the Yankees not to pull the trigger on this deal that fell to them because Stanton vetoed similar deals to the Cards and Giants?

previous management boxed them in once they decided to jettison him and the Dodgers chose not to play---all this Evil Empire and Jeter/Cashman crap is laughable...

if he went somewhere else, it still would have been a dumb deal for the Marlins and the world would be saying what a great deal for any of the other 28 clubs not named the Yankees...
