When I was 13 until about 16 I worked maybe 3 times a year at a chicken farm. There were thousands that had to be captured and put into cages to send off to the slaught house. The work was in the dark so that the chickens didn't resist capture. From about 10pm until 2am.

Around midnight the chicken farmer gave us a break and handed out sandwiches and softdrinks.

Hands full of chicken shit we ate and drank and no one ever got sick after, at least not twice..
