The whole deal about it being tribal is pretty thin. Unless you consider respect for women as a tribe, and pedophilia and varying degrees of assault as the opposing tribe. There are varying degrees ranging from insensitivity to adults, all the way to assault of children and serial exposure and monkey spanking.
If they break mostly along party lines, which isn't necessarily the case, so be it. There are gentlemen in both partisan camps as well as louts.
I don't see it as any more tribal than those that are educated and understand science, and the vocally scientifically illiterate. That often also tends to break along partisan lines, but there are plenty of republicans who are not ignorant of science.
Anyone who spouts ignorant pseudo-science will get the wrath of most that understand the scientific method, regardless of if they are liberal or conservative or politically agnostic.
It just so happens that the less heinous end of the spectrum of women disrespecting happens to reside in the liberal camp right now with Franken, and the blatant pussy-grabbing, child law-breaking assault axis happens to be in the trump/moore side right now. It could turn on a dime and often has.
