I’ve got nothing against small distances. Or even very large ones. And I have nothing against the promise of a practical application of ‘quantum’ computing. Lots of figurative language deployed, to which I have no particular objection.

This is an interesting exchange, and I’m learning a lot from it as well as enjoying it. But what does it have to do with scaling and compression again?
