I put people who buy stocks in one of three categories; fundamental investor, technical investor or whiner. A fundamental investor looks at the numbers, the story, the product, the competition, etc. and places their bet on what their valuation of the company may become (not what it is). The technical investor could care less what the product, EBITA or revenues are. They only care about price and time and place a bet based upon their technical indicators. Then there is the whiner who bought because Uncle Joe thought it was a good idea, or saw it on a message board, or it sounded like a good idea at the time and then moans and groans with every move that goes contrary to his/her expectation.

When I look at BPTH fundamentally, I see a company with a market cap of around $40 million developing products that could generate $billions. In the presentation given by Peter recently, on one of the slides, there were the names of drugs like Gleevec which had failed helping patients but by trying BioPath's drug, many had a complete recovery. If Gleevec which makes over $4 billion a year for Novartis and it fails where BioPath succeeds, that tells me there is a pretty good chance that BPTH may have a drug that should have at least $100 mil in sales if not a $billion or more. For a company with a current market cap around $40 mil, that sounds like a hell of a good speculation! And that is only one of their drugs in development. The patents this company owns I would think should make the company worth at least $3 to $4/share. if the technicians don't see a bottom being put in here, they may be missing a big opportunity. But whatever your conviction, know why you are either buying or selling. And if you don't know, then you are probably just a whiner!
