Agreed. It is quite rare that ch 11 restructuring has any benefit to owners of common shares. In BK Court, common shareholders get their shares cancelled.

Yet, there are some exceptions. American Airlines and a few others.

Selling shares before or during BK can be a strategy. And, there are other strategies too.
