Da Woof, what you write makes sense but as you say is not the usual case. In theory, CH11 does not have to always mean the demise of equity holders, but practically it almost always comes out that way ( or very close to that). But I imagine in the scenario you paint that is a possible outcome, but if I were LP, I would not want to bet on that outcome and put my company on the line hoping for that outcome.
