When I read the Q it stated that they have enough funds to last into the foreseeable future(I thing it was Feb 2018) as always Lightwave has kept 6 months of cash on hand. That being said this is heating up and so will the burn rate, they are currently hiring very unique forward thinking engineers (akin to Edison hiring a Telsa for the electric motor which worked but required additional engineering) and in addition Lebby had mentioned a need for larger facilities to keep up with this as it progressed. So Logic dictates that we will see a filling on the LPC registration tonight but I may be wrong. (it is always easier to do those filings after updating the items included in 10Q because the filings contains the same info) That being said though just because they register shares does not mean they will tap them, but the line of credit is approved so of course they should keep it open.
Honestly though I see them going a different financial route in the very near future and reaching out to new set of partners or a company and doing a large deal as this is finally beginning to move Forward at an accelerated pace. (This is different than the partnerships we talk about)
Remember Lebby and Leonberger are very well connected. Remember Leonberger is credited with inventing today's technology that is quickly reaching it limits (it took 20 years) and if he were to tap someone on the shoulder and say 'I think I have this issue facing the industry solved are you in? I have a need for 20 Million in cash, followed by, Or should I look elsewhere?' Money would no doubt be forthcoming. This is just my opinion Period.
Do not underestimate the gray matter between the ears of Lightwaves management or their ability to hold things close to their vests.
This post is absolutely 100% my opinion and I have not been in contact with the company. These are just my thoughts. I’ve watched this since the days of the Goetzs in a industrial park as it progressed ever so slowly, I’ve been wrong about the speed of progression, so what do I know.
I wonder what Lebby will say next month during the presentation at the conference, probably as important is I wonder who the side bar conversations will be with?
