2 or 3 years ago I watched a 2 hour special featuring Glenn and his wife. He was deeply into Alzheimer's. At times he would have trouble putting 6 or 7 words together, but he would suddenly break into one of his hits and never miss a beat.
When he finished he would turn to his wife and ask "Did I het that right?" She would pat him on the hand and say "Yes you did Honey"
Glenn and I are the same age and I feel sort of like I grew up with him.
In the late 1960s I was working in a refinery in Pasadena , TX. The contractor that had won the insulation contract was due in for kickoff meeting.
A tall, good looking blond guy came striding into my office and said:
