I have just finished speaking with CEO Cary...and...
...and he informs me (us) and reassures me (us) that, YES, JCDS is in
business...and business is coming-along simply fine...and the Company
is bigger/larger than six-or-eight years ago (he really wanted to emph-
asize that)...and he just-now welcomed the chance and the time we spent
talking-over things regarding the Company...he was glad to hear from
me. ...In fact, HE returned MY Call from yesterday!
I swear to you all, on the Judeo-Christian Bible, that I am being Truth-
full and candid here. I have spoken twice/three times a year with Cary
Allen for the past 6-7 years, now.
Nonetheless, I understand that people will -- and should -- think for
themselves...and that people will -- and should -- believe whatever they
WANT to believe. ...I'm only reporting to JCDS Shareholders and the good
Friends on this Board, to help clear the air.
Both CEO Cary and I know that he is VERY LIMITED in what he can tell
me...or ANY Shareholder. ...Thus, we speak in broad and sometimes neb-
ulous generalities and observations. ...(No "inside information" and
all that.)
Still, from what I can glean from today's chat that ended literally 25
minutes ago...essentially...things (as always) are humming-along JUST FINE.
Going "silent" (years ago) was ONE choice the Company made. ...IF and
WHEN the Company should start Reporting (Quarterlies and Annuals), THAT
would be a GIGANTIC STEP and a hairy-scary step for the Company and
for Cary, BECAUSE -- having returned to Public Reporting -- the Company
would find itself obligated to CONTINUE the Public Reporting, at what-
ever the COST in time/money that might represent...and that means time/
money the Company might not always be wanting to spend. ...THAT is part
of what I can discern from my chat with Cary today. ...And, Friends,
there's nothing at all "wrong" or "bad" about that.
Oh sure, we wish we had another FB or Cisco or Amazon...but folks, let's
make the best of what we have here.
As always, at least with ME, Cary was accessible, friendly/outgoing,
expressive/animated, candid (to the extent he COULD BE), and fairly
easy-going in tone, and in the pace of the conversation. That is, he
didn't seem to be overly distracted, or in a big rush to hang-up, or
frustrated that I had telephoned him. ...NONE OF THAT.
Again, I can only report what I have experienced, and what I know as-of
right now.
I also pressed Cary as-to WHY did JCDS go "Silent" in the first place?
To paraphrase him, he said that the Company (at that time) wanted to
devote its FULL resources (time/money) toward building/growing the Com-
pany, and not into always having to spend $5,000.00+ each time on Quarterlies
and Annuals...when THAT time/money could better-be spent/invested elsewhere,
to build and operate the Company.
Regarding this Charles Schwab covfefe, I informed Cary (he had already
gotten-wind of it, btw)...I informed Cary that, this very morning, I
had a lengthy talk and interrogation with several Specialists at Schwab --
people who are over-and-above the typical Broker with-whom Account-
holders typically speak.
In doing-so, I gave them THE COMPLETE NAME...ADDRESS...PHONE...FAX...
URL...etc. of the CURRENT Transfer Agent (T/A)...and that it is DIFFERENT
from the former T/A ("Integrity..."). ...It appears that THEY (Schwab) may not
have been aware of the CURRENT JCDS T/A...and that THEY thought it
still was "Integrity..." ......WOW!
So...insofar as I can determine, for Schwab Account-holders of JCDS,
one can still Trade/Buy/Sell/etc.
In addition...whew, stick with me!...In addition, Cary informs me that
JCDS has just-recently finished another Fiscal Year as-of June 30...YAY!
And...further...as I always do...I "lobbied him" to perhaps CONSIDER
putting-out SOMETHING...some little morsel or nugget or scintilla of
Information and "News"...at least THIS Calendar Year. ...Please, Cary,
there must SURELY be SOMETHING you can put-out there? ...He completely
and entirely understands...and expresses to me (us) that there remain
just a few (milestones?...goals?...accomplishments?...bigger "numbers?")
that still have to be reached or attained or wrapped-up.
That is all, good Friends. Generally, nothing has changed, and if ANY-
thing, things keep going-and-growing-along...busy as ever.
