Installation instructions for me usually go into the trash with the wrapping as I am a committed DIYer (who probably should be committed).

The internet is a great place to find manufacturer installation instructions on just about every device known to man.

Yes, a lot of the new devices need special switches and dimmers and they cost more money, of course.
