Steve, gang together 8x50Gbs would be single device, just as 4x25Gbs will be, I believe there is a slide showing the "optical engine" zoomed in to see how the layout looks

well, looks like ole proto may be right again on previously posting that the sales of first device would come in 1st quarter 2018, if so, then significant sales of 100Gbs devices could come later in 2018 as well

but, looks like ole proto may have been wrong on previously posting getting to 50Gbs RWM would be easier "step up"; from the ASM, (and discussed in last series of posts here), this step up is actually harder to do and will likely take a bit longer, hence the 12 month window on the 400Gbs
