Most of the financial difficulty within the trucking industry is with those companies that employ union drivers. The fluctuations and/or downturns in freight rates impact those companies more than non-union companies, simply because union labor wages/costs are fixed and do not adjust along with freight rates. At least that is what I gather from several synopsis of the trucking industry. HPTG may or may not be doing well. We need to see the financials to get a grasp on the success of the company.
