Personally I believe that Arcam is still going to be a major player in the space. GE Financial is going to help companies finance their purchases of their machines. GE, Siemens, and United Technologies among others are jumping into 3D printing head first, but none of these companies have 100 machines running. GE probably has the most, because of their Avio Aero subsidiary in Italy. Arcam and Concept Laser are both going to have to add to their workforces to be able to ramp up production to meet the lofty goals that GE is proposing. I believe we still are at least two years out before we see mass production of anything. Other companies are probably watching and waiting to see how well the Big Boys can make this work. Once they see the benefits gained then they may be more inclined to invest in machines themselves.
