Tom, for me the picture is very narrow. It all depends on what happens at the merging of these keys.
8ema at the 20day (midline of bb's), The R-1 pivot. Right now price is in no man's land between the ma's and the pivot. It will resolve soon IMO.
For now the top and bottom is confined by the present bands until we see which way it goes and with what strength.
I care more about the charts than about any news. The exception would be if some event seems likely enough to create a major and volatile direction change that I stay out until that event occurs. Currently, I am out of all metals until resolution of the above keys.
For me that fits retirement and my age, so keep that bias in mind.
