Numerous companies such as IBM, GE Power + Water, Landis + Gyr, etc, offer remote monitoring & diagnostics for preventive maintenance. Mikros Systems has the ADEPT device with many NAVY ship installations and photos online. This is a solid base that is rife and ripe for a buyout by the new (Sept 2016)commercial customer. Again, because of the name embargo, I suspect it's IBM. MKRS can't keep this contained much longer, even if it's turns out to be another commercial customer.
