That's a curious thing I've questioned over the years, myself. I remember when GM went belly up yet shares were still being traded months later---I'm speaking of the "old" GM shares, of course.

Investors don't always move logically or, at the least, don't necessarily make use of all available information and/or logic.

And then there's a matter of an acceptable premise:

Two + Two = 5---Provided that we accept four + four = ten.

Obviously the premise is skewed but the logic is impeccable.
