Going Bargain hunting on lab testing was a trick that was being pulled thru 2015 and into 2016 pre-Oct 1 by processors and cultivators looking to cut costs and safety at the expense of consumers.

Since Oct 1 and "accreditation" in the lab industry a firm pricing structure (with slight variation for region and "promos") is emerging.

Real estate costs what it costs. Equipment costs are fixed for everyone. Buying a "discount" HPLC off the back of a truck isnt really an option. And staffing... you need at least one MSc in chemistry on staff... better 2 per lab and preferrably a PhD.

These type of people dont work for minimum wage.

Then their is the whole testing protocols and ongoing calibration of equipment...

In this model "discount" lab services arent really an option...

A failure due to contaminants like pesticides in edibles or mold on flowers ... the media poop storm that would follow could destroy a branded product in its tracks.

Price is important to users as is a friendly smile and good customer service... and of course accuracy

yet the single most important commodity in the lab/cultivator-processor relationship is .....wait for it...

TURNAROUND TIME
Cultivators are waiting to ship flower
Processors are waiting on flower to turn into edibles
Retails/Dispensaries are waiting to serve the public

SGBY Spoke & Hub model is the best solution -

No single lab can do it well. The sheer physics of space and time dictate that.
