This is a fantastic piece of news that says just as much by association as it does by the facts presented. The validation of PrintRite3D has just taken a huge leap forward for investors. Obviously behind the scenes the technology has been validated over the last year to get us to this point. Sigma has succeeded in one of its main goals in having OEM’s offer and embed PrintRite3D into machines. Yes of course the ‘client’ has to choose it, but the validation of the technology by being an option, and the realization of what it actually does (saves time and cost in production environment) means that as AM production evolves, and it is evolving quickly, then Sigma will become default. It is a rare and powerful software tool that provides cost savings that eclipse the purchase cost and provides independent certification of quality. The beauty of a large OEM spreading PrintRite3D to their customers is that other OEM’s will more than likely have to follow suit or face uncertified or more costly production/certification options. If anyone can tell me a better option that PrintRite3D right now I would love to know. Sigma now has serious ‘in’s’ with Additive Industries, our mystery OEM, potentially Concept Laser through GE, EOS, Renishaw, Sisma, Trumpf, Michelin (OEM program members). I personally have little doubt that this kind of deal will be replicated over the year a handful of times. Heck a verification by GE who want to sell 10,000 printers over the next decade, 3 a day would just blow this thing out of the water.

On top of this, as Silver and investn3d point out, the recurring revenues from licensing and updates is an incredibly powerful stream of revenue for a software company. This is not to be underestimated and builds an annual revenue base from which to expand the company.

Today it trades like OTC stock it is. News, pops, stock boards chatter, the usual typecasts. But this is significant news for Sigma of that there is no doubt. Yes it filters in over time, but that builds for a stronger base in the future. And importantly these kind of deals allow us more ammunition to sell the stock to real investors and real money that can eventually get us off this tin pot market with tiny volumes and bid offers that play into the hands of day traders.
