Actually that's backwards claw.
When you want to buy something you bid on it and when you want to sell you ask a price.
People get it backwards because they look at the unknown instead of the known.

When a trade goes at the bid they credit the unknown seller. It could be a sell it could be a short.
But the person who bought the shares is the known person on the bid. The person wanting to buy.

A large ask size is telling us there is a lot of selling pressure at that price.

We all want to see millions on the bid because the bid is where the buying is
