Something left out of this has to do with partial liquidations. All or nothing can wreak terrible damage to the investor's confidence. I've made that mistake far too many times, myself. Better to sell off a portion of a stock that accounts for significant gains---or losses, as the case might be.

Until I see erosion setting in, I have no reason to think a strong pick will suddenly fail. NGL is in strength mode as far as I'm concerned. I've been positive on this one because many things line up in a positive manner, indicating the company is on a highly profitable and secure trajectory. That said, I see plenty of reason for optimism here. And, unless something happens necessitating that I grab a fistful of dollars to cover an unexpected expense, I'll stay the course, deferring, instead, to selling some other pick showing less promise.
