This is the real issue at hand. There is no coming back for sears. All of the fan boys including Berkowitz will say that the real value is in the real estate but they are thinking 30 years into the past. The real estate is only as valuable as it can be rented or sold. The retail game will never be one of brick and mortar again and I would argue that should sears go under, there will be no buyer to step into all of those properties, at least not without a steep discount
