Does down move stop at the fib P-pivot or is something more sinister in order?

Does gold double bottom the whole move from 2008 at around 1045?
Chart shows 1st of year often from Dec is usually up as long as April even in the down trending action. Didn't happen in 2013 when the up move came in Oct/Nov. 2015 was a downer right from first of year.
Will 2017 follow suit?

Are outside forces (world geo-politics) going to change patterns or are the cartels going maintain their hold? What forces within the US will influence world markets?

So far today, miners are not dropping commensurate with the metal. Are manipulators accumulating while retail watches the metal?

GLD is oversold and would expect a bounce soon.
