Press releases don't have to be released through the press?

I'll be darned.
I guess they just release news such as "Our Investor Conference Call is scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 2016" and "Unfortunately, the investor conference call has been postponed indefinitely" on their website (and nowhere else) and hope that folks will swing by to read it.

Can't say that it isn't an economical way to keep the investing public informed. Points for frugality.
