Developing countries exporting organic food is a great idea assuming they have excess food beyond their citizens.
Right now Cuba is organic mostly because the U.S.S.R. collapsed the the oil supply from the aforementioned country was cut off to Cuba. Basically the Cuban people began to starve and turned to small gardens and the large government farms were broken up and the land went to small-scale farmers. Large farm equipment were paralyzed and oxen were used on farms. Under this approach, no availability of petrol-chemicals, the country became organic. If this same system exists today, Cuba probably does not have too much excess other than sugar cane.

It would be interesting to know how much land in the United States has been affected by Monsanto products.
