Insider trading ("say this on the call so we can sell some stock"), receiving favorable deals through collusion with IMSC management, or doing one of the other illegal things lenders can do could impact our bankruptcy proceedings.

At this point, this investment should be considered useless, but it is ridiculous to say known criminals couldn't possibly break the law here.
